Nice, rustic fixture

This is a nice, rustic looking fixture - decently made of steel and glass - no light comes out through the sides, only down through the rustic bubbled glass. Installation is pretty straightforward. the only problem you might have is if fixture box is too deep in your ceiling like mine is. This made me have to loosen the bracket screw a little to get the fixture hanger screws to be low enough down to go through the holes in the fixture. Not a problem but it made them wiggle a little and that was harder to line up with the holes in the fixture. A little patience and it was fine though. Two standard LED bulbs throw a good bit of light, mostly straight down, so if you want a broader, wider throw, this might not be the fixture for you. For my small landing, it's perfect. About the only thing I would prefer is that the glass be a little more frosted, to hide the bulbs better. My LED bulbs are older with big heat conducting fins, so they aren't the prettiest. Perhaps some Edison LEDs would be perfect in this fixture.

Great looking standard ceiling, light fixture for kitchens and other locations

I got the Westinghouse matte, black and antique finish clear, sealed glass, two bulbs, ceiling light because I like its profile and design being how it looks. This type or style of light fixture has been around for a long time and is quite reliable. This light fixture comes fully assembled and ready to install , outside of putting in the two lightbulbs and putting the glass cover over them. This takes a standard A19 medium base bulb type. The fixture itself is dimmable and will work with dimmable and non-dimmable bulbs. 60 watts maximum. Per a bulb. Has ceramic sockets for a long lifespan. And the top is insulated. All metal construction along with glass. I do not see any plastic. Looks great.

Rustic yet modern

This flush mount ceiling light is exactly what I was looking for. It is a good size and sturdy. Not flimsy at all. If just replacing a ceiling light, this fixture is easy to install. The back is insulated and ready to hang right out of the box. I love the light wood look of it. It contrasts nicely with the black hardware. This light can blend with modern or rustic decor. It is very beautiful and gives give lighting. I am using it in my hallway. But it would work well in any room.

Good quality, suitable for damp locations

The light is very nice and easy to install. Since it's suitable for damp locations, it has a thick layer of insulation, which you'll have to move a little with your finger in the area where the 2 holes for the screws are or it will be difficult to see the screws going through. That was the most difficult part of the installation, just running the screws through but only took a minute. It requires 2 bulbs, which are not included. I used LED dimmable bulbs and they work great. I like the seeded glass cover better than plain glass since it seems to block dirt better.

Excellent packing. The product looks just like in the pictures. Very sturdy and well built. The colors look great in my hallway. I haven't installed it yet, but I can't wait to see the final look of the product. One thing to note is the glass piece. I almost thought I did not receive it until I read one of the previous reviews. Luckily I hadn't disposed off the packaging material and I was able to find it. Well constructed, difficult to install

I've been doing extensive remodeling of my house over the last year and a half, but have largely ignored my home office. I was excited to replace the $3 single-bulb lampholder I had to something nicer. I have mixed feelings about this light fixture. It looks great and seems well made. Very important. Two gripes, though: 1. the outside of the fixture is opaque, leaving the edges of my small room a little darker despite the extra bulb, and 2. the installation was more difficult than it needed to be. The two bulb sockets are not wired together, which means I had to wire three wires together, all while holding the fixture in the air. Also, the mounting screws were too long, so the fixture sagged off the ceiling until I purchased my own nuts so I could screw it tight to the ceiling. Ultimately I am happy with the upgrade, but I would love to see a couple design tweaks made to make it better. This review was written by a full-time Overstock employee. Great Farmhouse Style Fixture!

I have been looking for a new light to put in my office nook and this light matched the décor in my house perfectly. The quality of the fixture is great, seems to be very durable. The color of the product matched exactly what it looks like in the pictures. My only wish is that gave off a little brighter light when turned on. Overall I am very pleased with the product. Very nice light, easy to install...

We have been systematically replacing all the builder-grade lights to make our home more custom. I wanted this product to replace the melon light installed in our stairway. The modern style and metal accents match the aesthetics of the adjacent rooms, and the color is neutral so it will work in either of my kids' rooms later if we decide to move it. The color in the photos is accurate, but the glass is less-frosted than the photos might suggest (for which I've tried but found to be hard to get an accurate photo to convey). This was fine for me as I prefer my rooms to be bright and the seeded glass cover blocks less light than the frosted glass fixture I replaced. We're very happy with the look. The illustrations in the installation instructions resembled the light I was removing more than the light I was installing, however you can still make sense of the assembly. The only piece of hardware included in the package that was not represented in the instructions was an additional plastic washer, which I installed between the metal washer and the glass shade so as not to have metal washer against the glass. Good quality made of sturdy metal.

I wanted this light fixture for my entryway because it will match perfectly with my front door (it has black hardware and accents). I haven't had a chance to install it yet but I'm really pleased with the quality of this item. I was thinking the fabric-looking part of the fixture would be a flimsy material but it is actually made of sturdy metal. The colors match the online pictures well. One thing to note is that that flat glass portion is kind of hiding in the packaging, so don't throw the packaging away until you've retrieved the glass disc portion.
