Excellent fan at a reasonable price

We have bought this fan three times. We had it in our last house and liked it so much, that we bought it again when we moved. Now, we just bought it for my mother. This is an excellent fan for a room with cathedral ceilings. Not only is it very attractive, it is powerful. We rarely use the light, but the light is a nice plus. We love how modern it looks in our new home.

Makes a noise on high. I don’t want to pay to have it taken down and replaced so I won’t use high speed. For the price I expected better quality

Our favorite fan.

Remarkably quiet. Light is bright. Easy to put together with minimal time (compared to other fans). Has one wire for power to both the fan and light (because of built-in remote); I would have preferred individual wires so I could use two separate switches. I used a 48" drop rod (Hunter brand), which worked great and there is no wobble.

I was looking for a while for an 72in DC fan and came across this. It had all the features I was looking for. Size, LED, DC motor, and remote. It comes well packaged and the fit and overall finish is great. My woes comes with the install. The instructions are somewhat unclear at times and hard to follow. The fan comes fully disassembled and youll need to install part by part starting from the electrical box in the ceiling. I highly recommend having another helper. I did install this by myself and it was quite tiring. Once installed its a pretty good fan. It does move a lot of air and is extremely quite at its highest speed. I do wished the LED was brighter but Its decent for its size.

I replaced an old 50" fan in my son's bedroom with this beast. His room is upstairs and we just couldn't keep it cool enough with our AC going and his old ceiling fan. This fan solved the problem. I was real intimidated by its size but the blades are plastic & lightweight and easy to handle but also sturdy and not flimsy. Installation was very easy. It comes with a 4" down-rod so I had to purchase a 24" rod since our rooms have high ceilings. The fan is super quiet although my son says that he can hear a high pitch noise on start up, I can't hear it. The fan is reversible and the large blades keep a constant air flow, even on low speed. The fan comes with a balancing kit which was not needed; the fan is super smooth with zero wobble. The LED light puts out plenty of light and can be dimmed with the remote. At high speed, the fan makes the room like a wind tunnel and the only noise is the whooshing sound of the blades cutting through the air; reminds me of a plane prop. Cool! My son loves it.

Most functional fan owned

Six speed remote with reverse is an exceptional feature. Remote can be used to change direction of fan without having to climb up and fumble with the direction switch. DC motor saves 65% energy compared to conventional fan where only the light bulb is energy saving! 72" fan diameter makes this fan great for even the biggest rooms. LED light with remote dimming is another feature seldom seen even in the most expensive fans.

Efficient and beautiful

This westinghouse fan was easy to instal and provides ample light and great air circulation. Instructions in English and Spanish were easy to follow as was the 1 year warranty registration card.
