Beautiful

It's beautiful and stylish. I've been wanting a large stand-up globe for a very long time. Looks like real cherry wood, but not as dark as some of my other cherry wood pieces, it's a bit more red. 12" doesn't sound that big, but it is quite large. It has the raised mountain areas which are very nice, but some of the tops are a little rubbed off. Not bad, you have to look closely to see them, but for as much as it costs that shouldn't happen. My big complaint is that the wording is extremely small. You need a magnifying glass or cheater glasses to read most places. I really wish it was illuminated. That would make it a lot easier to read. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and it looks nice in our entry hall.

Beautiful decorative accent for home

The globe is a nice large size, beautiful colors. The wood frame is a composite wood with a reddish tint. It was easy to put together. Packaged very well for shipment, arrived in perfect condition. Rotates easily in all directions for viewing. Only negative is the cost.

Nice globe but.......

The seam at the equator is not smooth, the tape does not lay flat and makes a crinkle sound when you run your finger over it
