It does require assembly, but it was very easy to put together and the instructions were brief, but simple to follow. I ended up up purchasing 2 self closing units because I have 2 doors and now they soft close at both ends. The kit only came with one. The extension piece wasn’t in the box to attach both rails, so I had to wait a few days for them to ship that. You can install without it and attach it before you fully install. Very happy with how it looks

Exactly what I was looking for. It looks wonderful in my room!

I was disappointed I had to put the door together but, it’s what I wanted. The instructions were a little hard to understand and the pieces were not label clearly for a Lay person to understand.

Looks great, smooth as butter

Simple assembly with hex wrench, Allen key. Very good instructions and 0 issues. Nice finish. Very smooth and silent operation. Very surprised and pleased.

After finally receiving package it was damage.

Received text and email that Barndoor is ready for pickup. Go to HD and they hand me a small box and I replied "where is the rest of the barndoor and hardware". They said thats all that came and when they checked on it it is now coming in a later delivery. Also, the package that they handed me was one part of a 2 part "soft close" and not the other piece,,,go figure. They said it will probsbly be in the other box when that comes in. HD app show that the order is ready for pickup but its is not there...tracking history shows it is sitting at FedEx terminal. Three days later I get a call from local HD that the barndoor arrives. Brought it home and unpack and one of the side panels is cracked and broken. Also, no sign of that second "soft close" part in box. Traveled back to HD again to return and said..."Just cancel the darn order".

Beautiful, heavy door. Glides so smoothly.

Product arrived and exactly as described.

Problem was, a piece of wood was chipped and to remove the wood and order a new set would be hassle. Needs better packaging.

The door looks beautiful installed. It is very sturdy. It had a terrible chemical smell, so we let it air out a few days then painted it.

Nice looking door (30”). Top rail solid. Don’t like open holes in door to cover screws. Also, i need two floor guides.

Cheap quality, rattles and feels too light

The headline description doesn’t make it clear that this door feels like plastic and needs to be put together like a Lego project. Would definitely NOT recommend

The door came in pieces instead of 1-slab door. This isn't what was ordered and unacceptable.

Door was installed. Directions were terrible for an experienced contractor. Top of door is already bo-ing. It’s been installed for less than 1 month. Would not purchase again. Also- there is no handle on inide of door which makes it difficult to open.

The main reason for this purchase was the dimensions of the door and that it was pre finished. The quality is what I expected for engineered wood. The only major problem that I had is that it was damaged and I didn’t have time to send it back and wait on another. I made it work.

I am extremely disappointed with the process of trying to purchase this door. My first order was delivered to the wrong address and I never received it. I went into the local store and reorder the door for delivery to the store. I went in yesterday to confirm it was there and was told my order was ready for pickup. I borrow a truck and go back today only to find out that the door was not found anywhere in the store. I received the hardware but no door. I have been waiting 2 weeks for the item to finish an investment and still do not have it. I have spent a fair amount of money at HD and usually are happy with my purchases but definitely not this time. This issue has caused me to never order again any item that is bigger than a small box. Not sure what is going on but HD has dropped the ball on this customer

This door worked well for expanding our bathroom to be more accessible!

It’s a good door for the price. Please note that this door must be put together. White finish isn’t great around the edges and it can’t be painted. Also, you will need white hole plugs to cover screw holes as they were not included. There is an odor that takes a while to go away. My main issue was finding a 42” wide barn door with the kit without spending $1000+. It looks fine for a laundry room door.

This door was just what we needed in our bathroom . Looks great and rolls very free with no binding. The install directions are terrible but if you take your time you can figure it out. Did not use the little paper tabs over the screw holes. Dilled holes a little bigger and cut dowel rod plugs to fit into holes. Painted door edges where plugs were installed.
