Kohler sink easy to purchase on Build.com!

Love the look. Can't get one delivered without cracks

We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and were planning to use the Kohler 33" iron tones Thunder Grey sink. The first one was damaged in shipping and Kohler was prompt in replacing. Unfortunately the next two sinks delivered had stress cracks in the enamel. I still love the look, but now I'm worried that even if I get one delivered cleanly, it will crack upon install. Disappointed both in the sick and my project is now stalled.

Beautiful undermount needs expert installation

A beautiful sink which I am using undermounted to a granite countertop. If you undermount, ensure you have a skilled carpenter who understands how to support a 100lb sink (when empty) in an undermount application. Also: be careful with the template and understand if you want a zero reveal. Your countertop installer should measure the sink itself--going by the template alone gives you a "lip" of sorts where crumbs, water, could pool.

Beautiful and sturdy

Just installed this sink ... it is beautiful and sturdy (our previous sink (different composition than this one) cracked ... this one is very sturdy. Reason for four stars is that the sink is "warped" a bit ... does not lie fully flush on counter, one corner is raised a bit

Love the Sink/Not Kohler customer care

We ordered this sink. It was delivered damaged. We ordered another. It was damaged. We ordered a third. In the mean time, we bought one off of a local store. It wasn't damaged. We had it installed. So, we receive a THIRD sink from Kohler but it was too late so we returned it. We love our Kohler sink. We do not love Kohler customer care. They told us so many things and never held up their end. They told us our credit card would be credited 5-7 days after they received the sink. They received the sink 10 days ago and have not credited our account. I will say, I love my sink but will not buy from here again.

I like the sink size and dimension. The only negative is I would have liked the choice of the drain hole to be on the right side instead of the center. The pipe location under the sink would have given me more space under sink for storage!

Beautiful sink with issues.

Our new kohler is beautiful and looks great in our new kitchen. Love the deep single bowl. 4 weeks after sink was installed it the porcelain developed a crack near the drain. Was planning on contacting Kohler about the issue and received and email about writing a review.

Clean look, deep basin, and no blemishes. Countertop installer had to add additional support to help carry the weight of this sink. Lowes had best price on this item and shipping was quick.

Amazing sink!

It’s been installed in a kitchen reno for a few months now and I can’t stop staring at it and love the large bowl, I feel like i can multi task in it. The sea salt color adds so much texture but feels like a neutral white sink. I describe the sea salt color as taking coarse sea salt and pressing it in between 2 pieces of glass. The web site on my computer gives it a slight green hue, but not so, it is white with visual texture. I have a-lot of great upgrades and features in my new kitchen but this sink is right up there. It’s deep , wide and I got the stainless grid for the bottom. Even though it’s meant to withstand a lot I feel this protects forms scuffs from pans though they easily rub away. No regrets, worth every penny ….note-because if it’s weight and having it under mounted installed , I had to have the carpenter build supports under the sink before the fabricator would install the quartz. So it went supports built, sink set loosely on top of support then fabricator measure it and level it and then counter installed a week later then plumber connected disposal and faucet . The who does what first was a learning curve for me. Good luck -buy it -you won’t be disappointed. Faucet is Brizo auto touch articulating stainless steel faucet and together it’s a functional awesome showstopper!

[Rewarded Review] Beautiful cast iron sink

We have always had Kohler cast iron sinks and this one is just beautiful… we are building a new home and I am so excited to get this one installed with my new countertops. I’ve read other reviews and if you’ve never had a cast-iron sink, then you need to know that they do require special care, but it’s nothing unmanageable. I’ve had my Kohler cast-iron sink in both my homes for over 30 years and they still look brand new. I never put pots and pans directly on the surface of the sink. I have sink mats that protect the finish. They are easy to clean, I’ve always used a non-abrasive cleaner with bleach or bar keepers. These sinks are an investment that will last for years if taken care of.

Typical Koehler Quality

We haven’t completed the kitchen yet but everyone who walks in the room loves the cobalt blue. An interesting focal point for any kitchen.

I have had to is sink for about a year and a half. I absolute love it! It looks great and is so functional. We love having a large single basin for washing pots and pans.

Fabulous! This sink gives a fresh new look to the kitchen. Love the soft rectangular corners. Nice and deep. "Bone" is actually Kohler's WHITE it is not beige. I was concerned it would be off color, bbut it is white. Great size too.

Beautiful, robust craftmanship

It's simple yet elegant. Very heavy, make sure you get proper support. Has a beautiful patina and nice texture, and feels very robust and well crafted. I love that it's made in USA, that's really hard to find nowawdays.

Beautiful & functional

If you have kids or don’t wipe out your sink regularly, it may not be for you but I love it over a stainless steel. Never tried the Kohler cleaner but barkeepers best friend keeps mine looking new. Not a hard scrub, light sprinkle and soft / non abrasive scrubber. It has a sleek polished look in my white kitchen.

Adds nice design to white kitchen but a lot of work.

This sinks adds a sleek look to white kitchens. However, keeping it clean is an impossible task. It stains easily and pans leave scratch marks. Abrasives and bleaches are not recommended. Kohler cast iron cleaner is not effective in removing marks left from pans. Mine is yellow after only a couple of months despite regular, intensive maintenance.

My review is for Wayfair’s delivery and to an extent, the customer service 5 stars for the sink, it was beautiful except for the damaged parts. But the delivery is AWFUL!!!!! This is the 3rd time we have gotten this sink. It was not left by the front door as we had requested (and as they claimed each time they did) but in front of the house where anyone could see it. The box with packaging strewn all over is how it arrived! And the sink was badly damaged. The first sink was stolen, the second also mishandled, arriving damaged, and left in front of driveway. I don’t know if it is FedEx or Wayfair , but either way, this is unacceptable! What’s worse, our demolished kitchen has be been on hold for a month waiting for this sink! We are not going to use Wayfair. unacceunacceptable!

Love our Cast Iron Sink

We bought this cast iron sink for a new house to replace the builders cheap stainless steel sink. This is our 2nd Kohler cast iron sink. Nothing beats the sold feel of cast iron. It looks better and is much more quiet than a stainless steel sink. For this sink we choose the large single basin. Our previous sink had a divider, we get better use out of the sink without the divider. Buying this sink from Build.com is the best way to get this product, especially since we were ordering an odd color, Cashmere. We love the color too, not your usual sink color, but matches our granite well.
