The light itself is well made with a strong alumiunum heat sink that will keep the light last longer. A pre-equipted receptacle already for easy connection of the light to the recessed housing. The only you locate where you want to install your ceiling light area. Of course, a light recessed housing will much better for safety and simplify of your installation or one day you need replace the recessed light too. LED is most update lighting source for interior lighting. Other than save your cost of energy also because of its long life lasting that really save you alot. If you are not familiar with electrical work, I recommend you better hire a pro to do it for you will be much safer.

Great replacement bulbs for my fixtures, look great and very easy to install. If they are in your ceiling you should have a helper as this will be ladder work. Color matches my lights very nicely. They are very long lasting and look great. We have these type of fixtures all around four rooms to light the whole area and dimmers to just add a little light.

Second, you plug in the electrical plug wires from the new LED light fixture into the installed screw in male electrical connector to obtain power to the unit. These new 4 inch lights are great. I am very pleased with the new retrofit recessed lights we just installed. It is better than the other type that had wires that made it go in the ceiling. The electrical hook-up is nice and clean, no wire nuts or black tape. It has like the screw in the socket type, attach that little plug. so there are no wires to wire nut. When it is screwed in, just. It actually installed in minutes. The LED is also a big moneysaver, the old lights were like heat lamps, made the A/C work harder sucking the electric. The LED uses a much smaller amount. You can leave it on all day and uses a miniscule amount of power, and will last for years.

Great product for retrofitting facilities where you don't want or don't have the option of, replacing recessed light cans. These kits put off great, even light sufficient for any room of your house. And since they are new technology LED lights they produce very little heat. I may start replacing all of my lights with these since the swap is so simple!

These lights have been installed in a kitchen as part of an in law apartment that is in a walk in basement. The area required good lighting source and these proved to be exactly what was needed. They were installed in a dropped ceiling and like other recessed lighting needed a box to tie into. The only unusually installation issue was the drop ceiling. Everything else just basic electric wiring. Once installed they provided excellent lighting and also were esthetically pleasing. Because theses are LED and require no bulb they are said to last for years. I obviously can’t speak to longevity at this time but they do look nice installed and provide a good light source.
