It's great that you can adjust from daylight to soft glow, we set ours to the middle position. Con: the tabs that are supposed to hold the light in are finicky. I had to bend, poke, turn, and strain to get them to hold. Once they are in, they are great, they shine on the kitchen sink.

[Rewarded Review] Very easy to retro fit with a normal socket

We used a normal light socket and then bought a 4 inch x 4inch diameter metal duct sections. it was a considerable difference in price and got the same look as much more expensive can lighting.

I didn't use this in the traditional housing intended, so I can't attest to it's ability to fit that housing or ease of install there, but for my use it was exactly what I needed to light up some custom built-ins that I made.

I installed these in 4” Halo downlights, which I installed in my kitchen as task lighting. They were very easy to install and I was very pleased with the light output and color of the light. It is a pleasing “warmer white” as opposed to the “bright white” usually associated with white LEDS.

This can light insert has softened the lighting in the kitchen, and is dimmable. I also like the ease of installation and the fact that the lights will last much longer than conventional bulbs.

A nice natural light.

This fixture is very compact, and should install easily in my drywall ceiling. It produces a natural color very similar to an incandescent bulb, It does not however, contain the variable color switch found on the current models which allows the color temperature to be adjusted to fit the room characteristics. I would rate the brightness equivalent to about a 50W bulb.

Lower quality product than expected. Ground wire is an inch or two shorter and barely able to attach. Plastic housing versus metal, which wasn’t clearly identified on order product page. HD needs to provide a better product description to inform customers of the quality of product they are buying.
