Do not buy this item

I bought two of these showers for a cabin we're building and my general contractor actually laughed when we took them out of the box. He's installed several shower kits of other brands, and said these are the worse quality of any he's ever seen. Both shower pans had chips the size of a quarter in the corner, and the walls are so thin they literally will fold over like a newspaper if you try to stand then up. If they were any thinner you could read through them. You can poke your finger through the shelves in the corners. I bought them and stored them in my garage unopened until we need them, which of course was after the 30 day limit so now I'm stuck with them. I'm thinking about donating them to Habitat for Humanity and going with a better brand.

Would've been a difficult 'do it yourself' install

Product looks great once installed, but installers had to make several modifications (including pouring a concrete base under the floor piece) to the opening due to the very thin and flexible material. Panels are very thin and require a firm surface to be glued to.

Beautiful shower!!! Absolutely love it!!

This was fairly easy to install, the shelves are a little on the thin side but overall the look is beautiful and again installation was fairly simple !!!

We installed this yesterday and it went together VERY easy. The only thing we realized was that where the fixtures go does not line up with the drain in the tub, the ridge where the wall and the corner piece meet is right there. If you don't mind the lever for the shower and the drain not lining up it is great, but my husband didn't like the look of it, so we are having to figure something out, a gasket or sealer or something, not sure yet.

Avoid this product! The side walls of the shower do not fit, and there is no way to trim them that the faucet will sit flush to the wall. Home Depot said that they could not help with this problem that it would fall back on Dreamline. Dreamline said that there is "no solution". We were sent back to Home Depot and Home Depot would not exchange the product unless we tore out the pan which was already cemented in place. I would rate this a -5 but that is not an option. Both Dreamline and Home Depot KNOW that this is a faulty product, but dont seem to care about that either. and will continue to sell it. I can't use this product ( with exception of the pan) and now will have to go to the expense to find another option.

Easy install. Looks great.

Easy install for my handyman. Love the shelves. Bottom shelves are slanted - I'm thinking for shaving? We added bars for stability. Overall great purchase and everyone in the house is pleased!

Lack of top closure trim

This product has 8 locations where there are large gaps between the top of the panel and the drywall. Water spray could get behind the panel at these locations. Dreamline does not offer a trim solution and does think this is a concern. I had to come up with my own fix to seal these gaps. They need to have a better design.

overpriced, poor quality, bad design

I didn't want to get this shower but since the Sterling shower I wanted was on back order, I took a chance on this. The only positive thing I will say is the shower base seems to be a very nice sturdy piece. But I have several complaints:

The surround looks nice but was a pain to install. The side walls needed to be cut and the shower hardware sits over the lumps on the wall so they are not nice and flush. Overall it looks good but would have made more sense to have flat side walls.

Shower Walls Made Easy

Overall this was easy. This kit is best installed over/attached to drywall or backer board as the the walls are thin. It does the job and is faster/cheaper than tiling the walls. One concern is the corners are rounded and are not flush with your wall. It would be nice to have some sort of corner filler piece to ensure water does not get behind the alcove, vice just filling it with caulk which I plan to do.

We had wanted an Aquatic shower and surround but after two attempts to acquire one (both were damaged between the warehouse and store), we were told that this was an upgrade. The walls were much thinner and installation more difficult than the Aquatic. We've only had it installed for about a week so don't know how durable it is going to be.

Goood value but came broken

The shower its self is a good buy, but mine, like other folks, was delivered broken. Lowe’s took about a month to get a replacement for me. Bottom-line; quality was good for the shower but the service end was not.

Disappointed

This is actually a 5- piece shower stall(not including the base). The shower area is average sized after subtracting the ledge. I only gave it two stars because it will work as a shower. I was disappointed in the overall product.

I have recently purchased this product and reviewed the installation instructions as well as the details listed within this product. The details here state the product is mounted direct to the studs, which is contrary to the installation instructions that show the walls are adhered to a solid surface and the basin is not mounted to the wall studs but into a bed of mortar.

Parents new shower

My mother has knee issues and getting in and out of her tub shower combo was becoming difficult. I had a general contractor remove and install the new shower. He stated he never heard of Dreamline but after looking over the sections of the shower he felt like it was pretty standard. My parents live in a home over 20 years old built in the early 90's. I was scared about that. It took him a day and a morning (the morning was to install the shower door). When all was said and done, he said the base is the best he has ever worked with. He said if we were to tile the entire wall and just brought the base that it would have been wonderful too. the sides were flimsy and time but he said most are that are made that way. My parents are happy and the shower looks wonderful. I will try to upload pictures of before, during and after as soon as I can! We all are very pleased.
