I needed something to hold a covering for an under-sink vanity...doors were useless. Fit right in, held the curtain, lots easier access to under the bathrroom sink, plus it's washable/changable! Beats resurfacing doors! Easy to install, even with arthritic fingers.

Just what I was looking for!

I've been a long time Big Lot's customer and love the selection of bath and home products. I have a small shower and this is the perfect fit. Big Lot's for the win!

Works perfectly

I bought this item to hang in my laundry room so I can dry clothes, and when I'm not doing that, I hang my plants from it in front of the window. It's the perfect color, it opens to whatever length I need and it's sturdy. Works perfectly for my needs!

Don't buy unless you add wall brackets.

Rod would not stay up. The twist-to-tighten does not have enough tension to apply sufficient pressure against the walls. Buy one with a spring in tightening function, or a spring in the end caps.

A short shower curtain rod for your tightest spaces!!!

This is a really short, cheap metal shower curtain rod that fits in a tiny shower that I have in my office. It is spring loaded and capable of holding up a shower curtain, which we can all agree, is the purpose of a shower curtain rod. I paired it with an equally cheap set of shower curtain rings and a less cheap, but still value oriented plastic shower curtain. Now the water from my office shower stays in the shower and not on the floor.

Great, inexpensive product!

I actually bought this rod by mistake - it was not the size I needed for our bathroom. However, I was able to use it in our closet, and it works pretty well and supports a good amount of weight. I also installed holders on the end to help hold it securely in place.

I'm so glad you had this size of shower curtain rod. I had look in several places and couldn't fine this quality of rod. It was the only one you had in stock at that moment so I was lucky to have found it. It's installed and working fine.

Bought this item and it was a good purchase but too short. (My fault, I didn't measure first) can still use it somewhere else though. Rod was very sturdy and the price was really good. Next time, measure first, buy second.

I needed a short tension rod for a small shower. After searching several other stores without any luck, I found just what I needed at Big Lots at a very reasonable price! I am very happy with my purchase!

Shower tension rod

I bought this to use in bathroom to cover an empty open area so I could use it as storage. Have had a little issue with the tension rod staying tight for me when trying to establish. I am sure it's an issue that is my.fault.

Perfect!

A friend of mine had a shower curtain that reached its last bit of use. After several hang-ups that fell down, I seen this rod, bought it for her, put it up and worked perfectly, Job accomplished , looks great and solved the problem! Hooray!

Poor design

Good looking and seems rust proof. Unfortunately the design of the adjustment is poor. No matter how hard I try to get it to hold tight it slides down the wall. Other rods I've used had screw threads so that the tighter you twisted it, the tighter it got to the wall (the twisting pushed the ends outward, making it longer). This one just tightens on itself. That means that the tension between the rod and the wall is only as much as you can initially put on it.

1star disappointing tension rod

The plan was to use it to hold very light weight ring top curtains in a 36"wide dormer window. The tension will not stay tight as the rod will fall down. I have even put the rod up with no curtains and it has eventually fallen down. Very disappointed.

Simple rod, no tension to hold it up. More parts needed.

This item is semi-sturdy for it's length though it really only works with additional hardware to support the ends. There is no tension component to actually hold this up. It locks as indicated, but the instructions make it seem as if this is all you require. Have yet to put this to use as I have to plan for more hardware or simply get another rod with actual tension.
