[Rewarded Review] Sturdy, great suction grip
These feel VERY sturdy, with a smooth finish, and good grip area to fit most hands. The suction cups GRAB even before the flip lock is engaged so it took a little effort to position them. We may modify the layout depending on how well they match how we stand in the shower. Having two is recommended since husband is 6 inches taller so his comfortable grip height is different from mine. We're both retired and have NOT had issues in the shower but recall my late mom falling in her shower - and she didn't have any grab handles. It seemed wise to take precautions now for us.
They can not be trusted
[Rewarded Review] Good assist bars
The 12-in suction grab bars work as intended. They are easy to attach to the wall but you need to make sure they are secure before using them. I was a little concerned when I first put the grab bar on the wall because after about an hour it came off. But I believe I may have not properly secured it because since then it's been up for over a week with no problems. The suction grab bars can be installed in either a vertical or a horizontal position. I do like that the warning words on the grab bars are a distinctly different color than the grab bar itself. This makes them very easy to read. I am a little concerned about the quality control considering the typographical error on the warning words.
[Rewarded Review] Good alternative if unable to secure grab bars to studs but use with caution.
These are very light plastic so light weight and have a suction cup grip that is very strong. They have a small safety sticker to remind the user to test for secure hold before use which is nice but sticker is likely to peel off with a few uses as mine is already lifting off without any use. As a physical therapist, I would always recommend a permanent grab bar secure to wall studs for safety in and out of the shower/tub but have had to recommend this style for patients who rent and are not able to fasten to wall studs and we review importance of testing that suction is maintained before patients get in/out as they occasional come unstuck and will pull off as one did in my test. I resuctioned and no issues but if not aware, it definitely could have pulled off the wall and I could have fallen. There is another plastic suction cup grab bar with a little tab that stays red when not secure and turns green when suction is maintained which is a great feature but these do not have that.
[Rewarded Review] Works Ok More durable than my first impresion
How to test an object like this? I actually used it to lift a door panel on a 6 ft. doorwall and it did it effortlessly. So as a stabilizing device it is very good as a total support device, I didn't try to hang on it. Also the cups are a bit fussy to get on the close shower tiles while I did get it to work on mine it took a few adjustments to get it to seat. The spread overall being wider than the seams on the tiles putting the grout line in the suction cup area unless perfectly positioned. Also at first the product seems chintzy but in fact it only feels that way it is actually pretty sturdy. Not sure how durable the suction cups are over time but initial test says not bad.
[Rewarded Review] Super easy to install, no screws!!
Got this for my bathroom.
[Rewarded Review] Amazing stability & ease of installation
These grab bars are amazingly stable and secure. I think it would be more likely for me to pull the wall down than for one of these to let loose unexpectedly. I love that they are so easy to move as needed - and when you don't need them, you can easily take them down. No wall damage from screws and so on. I gave them 4 stars for two reasons. First, (and the major reason for 4 stars), they require quite a bit of thumb strength to push the gray levers down completely. Perhaps this is unavoidable, but you should be aware. Second - the sticker that tell the user to make to check that the bar is secure before using has misspelled, "SECURE." It is spelled, "SBCURE." I still recommend them.
[Rewarded Review] Easy to attach for additional support
We wanted to add some handles to our shower without spending a bunch of money or creating a whole project. These HOME-FLEX Suction Cup Grab Bars Showers were perfect. Very easy to attach with no tools; pop up the grey levers on each end, position the grab bar, lock down the levers. They lock in place really well. There is a small tab on the suction cups if you need to reposition or move them; lift the grey levers, pull on the little tab, reposition, lock them down again. They seemed to lock into place really well. The design is simple and allows for my large hands and my wife’s smaller hands to comfortably and safely grip the bars. Per the instructions, check to be sure they remain secure before each use. I would recommend them for additional stabilization and support but not necessarily to pull yourself up as they might lose suction.
[Rewarded Review] Work well
As I am getting older my balance isn't as good as it used to be and especially in the shower. With these grab bars I am able to close my eyes while washing my hair and balance myself. I don't know how these would hold up as far as using them if you fall but that is not the purpose I chose them. So far they are working really well and have not lost any suction.
[Rewarded Review] Suction Cup Grab Bars
I wanted to use these Suction Cup Grab Bars to provide safety for my showers. They were easy to install and very sturdy. Easy to install, slightly harder to remove them.
[Rewarded Review] Minimal support
These ample sized hand holes with suction cup attachments plastic shower hand holds. They seem to work for temporary low pressure use in wet environment. Do not use for solid weight supports they will fail. Tested for minimal hand support to steady a standing person but placed weight on it for a few moments and the hand held support failed. Easy installation and removal.
