Great look and quality!

I bought the green metro smart tiles to update the look of my kitchen and it looks amazing! Really easy to use and reposition during the installation. It took me around 2 hours to finish

Not as easy as claimed.

In a house with poor walls means the lack of any space between the tiles in the sheets made these very unforgiving. i read other reviews about them coming of easy and maybe it was the hot weather, but getting them keyed together in the right spot was harder than real tiles.

Easy to apply with care. Took about 4 hours to place behind entire kitchen counters. Very happy with the look and very happy with the product so far. Ordered materials on line and received them within a few days. Before applying entire tile, husband just took off the backing paper a few inches down from top, placed tile, then when happy with the placement, peeled off rest of backing paper to apply entire tile on wall. That way, if he didn't quite get the placement right, much easier to move the entire tile to fix the placement that way.

Would recommend

Not quite as easy to put up as I hoped due to outlets But It was way easier than laying real tile and it looks great on the wall! The overlap edge was really helpful. There was one section on the bottom of each piece that didn't have an overlap edge but I'm not sure I understand why not. But it is up and it looks great. I was even able to cut one tile out where I had made a mistake and replace it with a tile from a fresh piece.

My new lovely kitchen!

Love how this project turned out! I had a beautiful kitchen, but it was a little BORING. Smart Tiles was an easy way to give it the pizzazz it was missing! The cutting took a little getting used to, but amazingly I didn’t waste any sheets in this project. Now when I walk into the kitchen, the beauty and depth of these “peel and stick” tiles makes me so happy. And without telling people, it passes for real tile every time!!

Perfect Backsplash

Great product. I used them for a backsplash which really brightened up my kitchen. The tiles were easy to install with a little practice. I like that they were easy to reposition - the grout lines matched up perfectly. I also like that the tiles are easy to clean and require no maintenance.

Overall appearance is pretty good although it does look cheaper than it actually is, especially along exposed edges. Molding can help there. Price for being able to do it yourself seems a little high. Installation is fairly easy but is more tedious and time consuming than you might think—at least for an amateur. Adhesion has been pretty good for the most part but a few corners have come loose and had to be reapplied.

Don’t waste your time or money

Product doesn’t have even cut tiles so it makes installation hard and uneven. The way it claims what it covers is off I thought this was just going to be a 300 DIY, turned out to be 700. Doesn’t stick properly like it claims to. WAY too expensive for what you get. I have a feeling it won’t last more than a year and I’ll have to spend the time and money to pull them all off and repaint. Just take the time and do real tile from the start and be done. This product unfortunately was not worth it.

Wonderful, high quality stick tiles

I have seen an advertisement about the green tiles and I thought it would look so cool in our kitchen. Once I unpacked them, I was really impressed how good the quality was, they looked so real! They were easy to cut, they stuck absolutely solid to our wall but are also easily taken off to adjust. After one month usage I can confidently say that I am very happy. Our kitchen got a new, fancy look and they stick reliably and are easy to clean. Would recommend 100% Absolutely worth the money!

Super Easy to Apply and Looks Great!

Very easy installation. Cutting to size was super easy. Repositioning was easy. I would like to see you offer single sheets or samples that are full size. I ran out and needed one more sheet but didn't want to order a whole box of sheets. I ordered 3 samples and hope that they will work for the small strip I need to fill at the bottom.

Good product

I bought this product a few year ago, and bought some more recently. It's a good product. It takes some patience and fine motor skills to install, but once installed, it is beautiful and I love it. I felt it was rather expensive, but its quality is high, and worth the money. I recommend this product.

I bought the blue one for my kitchen. This is an incredibly quality product. I am so satisfied. BUT, you need someone who is extremely well on organizing and executing the application of this product. My plain to stick was not an easy one, with electric outlets and tricky corners. It took me quite a while to figure out how every piece will come together. So… beware…

AWESOME !!! (Great Upgrade for Any Kitchen...)

I just completed installing these in my kitchen & they are absolutely AWESOME !!! They not only look great - they are a very easy D.I.Y. project that just about anyone can do. When installing these, forget about the RAZOR KNIFE suggested in the instructions & videos. Instead, use kitchen shears & carefully cut on the straight line you have drawn on the backing. It is so much easier, reduces mistakes made when your razor knife takes the wrong path & so much safer to use kitchen shears. I LOVE that these are repositionable as you're installing them - if they weren't I would be in "trouble". I'm very fussy & found myself applying & re-applying each block multiple times until I got it as "perfect" as possible. They say the adhesive will "cure" to a permanently sticky state in, I think 24-48 hrs, but as you're installing them it's very easy to remove them to reposition. One of the things I'd recommend is, after getting the tiles in the best position, press the down firmly all around - especially the very edges. When you firmly press around the edges the seams almost totally disappear. Since, this is a new installation, my only concerns going forward are; 1) Will they stay 100% adhered after the adhesive has "cured", or will they eventually start to peel around the edges? & 2) I know I will need to pull my toaster oven pretty far away from the wall when using it (the exterior gets quite warm) - hopefully, being very careful with the distance from the wall the extra warmth will not loosen the adhesive. Overall, at this point, I give these tiles 5 stars for quality, ease of installation & their beautiful appearance. I am writing this only a couple weeks following installation, and so far they remain firmly adhered to my walls. That reminds me - I did thoroughly wash my walls with TSP (which is what they strongly recommend) & let them dry thoroughly prior to installation. Obviously, one of the key factors in the adhesiveness of these tiles is the preparation & overall condition of the surface they are being applied to. I've seen other reviews online with adhesion issues & felt reasonably certain a very large percentage of those issues were due to not properly preparing the surface prior to installation or were due to the overall condition of the surface they were being applied to !!!

AWESOME Product - Upgrade MUST for Any Kitchen !!!

These tiles are AWESOME. They look great & are easy to install. Use kitchen shears (not a razor knife) & cut on your line on the backing. (easier, fewer mistakes & safer). Great they are repositionable. You will apply & re-apply each tile multiple times. Press firmly over the entire tile. Great quality, easy installation & awesome appearance. Wash walls first with TSP (their recommendation). I'm guessing a large pct of adhesion issues in other reviews were due to improperly prepared surfaces.

Wow these look great! A very affordable alternative to real tile and can’t tell the difference.

Really Look Excellent. Very happy. Waaaay cheaper than having real tile installed and cannot tell the difference. Easy to install, just take your tile and do it slowly. It took me about 4 hours for my 8 square feet. Have the right tools and don’t rush. Definitely recommend ordering extra for mistakes, you will make some.

Dreary to decadent

We purchased the Metro Carrera tile design for the backsplash in our kitchen. We used the instructions on the web site to determine how many Smart Tiles we would need. They arrived quickly and after following the simple instructions provided we have transformed our kitchen from dreary to bright. The application was seamless. We finished the whole project on a weekend. I would highly recommend Smart Tiles as an affordable and beautifully classy alternative for any backsplash project. Bathroom here we come…..next.

Very good product

We had a dated kitchen with drab beige tiles and I was looking for a way to revamp it that didn’t require taking down the old tile. I put these up right on the old tile, even though you’re not supposed to, and while it’s true you can see some texture underneath, it adds interest in my opinion. My kitchen is now luminous and bright. This did take about three times as long as expected to complete due to the many strange spaces in our kitchen requiring custom cuts to fit around windows and cabinets. In a different space it would be much easier, and it was still worth it.

Incredible 5/5

We opted for these after extensive research into our options for upgrading the kitchen. The results are honestly incredible I am so shocked how good it looks. Time will tell how they hold up but so far I have only good things to say and absolutely no regrets. This is such a cheap and easy way to give a new life to something that is ours dated but otherwise perfectly good. Take your time with install, properly scrub and degrease the tiles and make sure you use a box cutter metal ruler and cutting pad with lines to get everything accurate.

great for rental and lightweight

I put this above my rental apartment sink and stove, and would do more of the kitchen and bathroom if it were my own! I am also building a tiny house and thinking of using smart tiles there because the weight of clay tiles would be a concern. These look really nice and are easy to install, but if it were my forever home I would use real tile for the authentic look and heat/moisture durability. I installed these using scissors, a level/straightedge, and a pencil. I put the second layer upside down so there wasn't a double row, and I found that overlapping the vertical seem as little as possible made the best adhesion.

Pleased with product

Gave it 4 stars because it is very pricey. As much as real ceramic tile. However, it is top line for stick on tiles and much easier to apply. The 3D effect makes it look like real ceramic. It was very easy to put up with careful measuring and cutting. Also order about 15% more than you need as this tile pattern cannot be flipped over and must be applied either all right to left or left to right. Cannot use leftovers flipped over as pattern will not match.
