No surprises-good as it could be

I did measurement and calculations before purchase so there was no surprise. Build quality is as good as it can be particle board. Its not hard-wood if thats what you were expecting. Remember to use school glue in every hole to enhance strength.

Dollhouse

I knew the bookcase wasn't 6ft, yet didn't realize it was SO short AND narrow. It looks like it belongs in a child's bedroom, not our Family Room. Additionally, the material used to cover it isn't the best quality, as it peels off when you remove the alphabet identifiers.

Wobbly and unstable

After assembling the bookshelf, it could only be called unstable. It wobbled every time I touched it, to the point I'm worried it'll fall over. I don't know if I somehow obtained a faulty product somehow, but I'm certain it was put together right as I've assembled lots of similar furniture with little issue. It's unfortunate because I had high hopes after completing the first half (the first two shelves) because the individual slotted backings is both convenient and the particle board backing isn't too bad compared to the mainstays backing boards.

Nice for the price, but bad instructions

This bookcase is super cute once you get it together, but the only problem is that the instructions are vague and very confusing. I purchased the pink and white bookcase and I had the hardest time making sure that the correct sides were facing the proper way. After it was all said and done, I realized that I didn’t put the shelves facing the right way. So the first two shelves are pink, but the bottom 3 are white. Plus, the initial instructions, if followed correctly, will make things very difficult to attach the next part. I like the bookcase itself —it looks kind of cheap up close, but from afar it’s nice! Despite this, I’m pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this, but just be warned about the unclear instructions.
