[Rewarded Review] Features that once were free now cost

I used to be able to arm or disarm my Ring Alarm via their app and now it costs money to do that most basic function. Recurring monthly fees. So tired of companies pulling that. Doesnt Amazon make enough money already. They get you invested in their ecosystem and than start charging for things that were free and a part of the features that make a customer buy that product. Waiting for Nest to start charging a monthly to change my temperature.

Easy to install and set up, just takes time. I think it took me about an hour for all the items in this. The adhesive seems high quality on the motion/door sensors for easy mounting that seems like they will stay up. I appreciate each keypad coming with their own charger. I wish the mounts for the keypads came with the same adhesive personally, but that would probably interfere with mounting with hardware for those who prefer hardware. I used 3M products to place keypads on the wall. Monitored alarm service option is well priced.

This base provided everything I needed. Install was so easy and straightforward. And my wireles internet speed is rocket fast. The cameras, lights, and automated features are addicting to add. Buy a camera and perhaps doorbell. Integrated easily with locks through zwave. Monitoring is reasonably priced too. Traditional alarm conpanies look out! I think this is on par with the most popular that have pro monitoring, yet they don’t charge too much.

Each sensor has extremely small and fragile switch for present of the cover. The slightest deformation of thin plastic or inaccurate alignment of covers and the micro switch breaks. It cannot be repaired with any tools. Sensors with unbroken switches and new batteries may be invisible to the Ring Application. Regardless of your efforts, resets, pressing buttons and the fact that the base station responds to their opening and closing. Get ready for multiple purchases of new sensors.
