7 Day Programmable Thermostat with Back Lighting

Thermostat for standard heat and cooling system (not heat pump) with programming for 4 time periods per day for each day of the week. Back light turns on when you press any button. Includes Up and Down buttons to manually set the temperature. The Hold button stops the automatic program changes to the temperature setting. Manual Heat / Cool switch, and manual Fan On / Auto switches on the bottom edge of the thermostat. Uses 2 AAA batteries; be sure to use good quality batteries with a 10 year life or more.

Defective times 2 for Honeywell

Defective. Worked for two weeks then quit. Bought one Honeywell thermostat that did not work with Gas Package Unit. Returned and bought this labeled work with any system. AC worked but when I switched to heat, AC came on. Verified wiring and called HVAC company. They checked it and said thermostat was defective. They replaced thermostat with a Honeywell Pro model and works fine. Stay away from Honeywell consumer models, they are cheaply made and not reliable.

This unit replaced my old HONEYWELL unit. Nice to have an accurate unit. Easy to install and easy to program.

Defective, caused damage

Thermostat worked correctly for three months. On a 10 below zero morning I awoke at 3 am to 55 degrees in my house and the air conditioner running. I have found other reviews online where people were claiming the thermostat would run their heat and AC at the same time. When it went haywire and ran the AC in ten below weather it damaged the compressor. Had to pay for emergency call to my house to get the heat running again (VERY expensive)and now fix the air conditioner. Do yourself a favor and choose a different model. It seems what I experienced is has been experience by other buyers as well.
