I would use this product with Aprilaire compatible equipment

I own a Nest Thermostat for my A/C Unit and the Aprilaire 8620W for my crawlspace dehumidifier. I prefer the Aprilaire 8620W between the two.

Great product but a little pricey.

The Aprilaire 8620W Wifi Thermostat is mounted in the middle of my crawlspace above the free standing dehumidifier. Now, just by opening the App. I can monitor the status of the dehumidifier (idle or on), the temp. and relative humidity which I can change if desired. So far it is working great. The WiFi set up was a little confusing but Aprilaire customer support was able to talk me through it quite easily.

Overkill for a WiFi connected dehumidifier controller.

A little disappointed with this thermostat in part because I was only looking for WiFi control of the Aprilaire 1850. This thermostat does much more than just controlling a dehumidifier but that's all I need it to do and it does that basic task. I can control the 1850 set point remotely and see what the current humidity is. What I can't see is if the unit is actually running. Most WiFi apps for other devices I've used indicate the current status of the device, this one does not. I wish Aprilaire made a WiFi version of the model 76 ... that's all I need.
