Booo to Le Creuset

I ordered and received the 8qt Le Creuset Dutch Oven. So far, so good. The first time using it was not so good. The lid leaked!! The condensation that was supposed to return to the pot, was dripping all over my stove top.. I tried to reseat the lid several times without success. The burner was on low medium. The liquid in the pot was about 1 and 1/2 cups. I have other lidded Le Creuset and have never had this issue.

Imperfect Special Value

This was shipped to me surprisingly fast. Unfortunately, the lid has pits in the paint, is insufficiently coated and around the design ridges you can feel the metal through the thin glaze. The knob is also scratched. Disappointed and boxed up to send back. This is why you shop early for Christmas and inspect folks. Unacceptable for the brand and for QVC. Should never have left the factory. Should be an easy return. At least there is that.

Beautiful Mauve Pink But With Blemish

I was one of the lucky customers who purchased the new mauve pink color. I received it yesterday and was so excited to open the box because I’ve been wanting a larger oval Dutch oven (I have a 5qt oval Staub which I love). First of all, the color is very pretty. I can’t wait to use it. However, upon a closer inspection, I found a noticeable blemish on the upper rim of the vessel. The paint didn’t thoroughly cover it because you can see the exposed black cast iron. It’s small but still for the price (and shipping) you expect perfection (lol, for me anyway). Bummed that I received it this way but it’s still useable.

Love Le Creuset But Bad Paint Job!

Really what happened to Quality Control? I’m Beyond Disappointed.! Mauve is now Sold Out so now I’m Out! Not a Happy Camper. However I still do recommend Le Creuset but with a decent paint job. And recommend as a Gift but with a better paint job. I Wish I could post pictures of this bad paint job, Open silver cast iron showing and a 3 dimensional glob of mauve paint. It’s all she wanted for Christmas and I jumped right on it early but now they said gone for the rest of the year in this color.

Iconic

Le Creuset is iconic! I’ve been collecting it for 40 years and my pieces still look brand new! The quality is amazing. I actually have pieces from the factory before the name changed to Le Creuset! Mine arrived in perfect condition and it arrived quickly. The piece is a really great value and the shipping is more than reasonable given the weight of the cookware! Glad I got a great deal! Very happy! The sea salt color looks beautiful with my other pieces.

Beauty & Strength

Love, love, love my Dutch ovens. Super easy to clean. It heats up faster than any of my cookware! I even make sourdough bread out of it now. Love the lid, love the beauty of the color I have which is not pictured correctly. And when it’s not being used, it still sits atop my stove because it looks so good!

This one's a keeper!

I have several Le Creuset pots, but this might be my new favorite. It is so much easier for me, being somewhat vertically challenged, to reach into the pot for stirring and scooping. Even making pasta in this pot is easier. It is probably bigger than I would need but the convenience outweighs that. Even on sale, this is somewhat pricey but it's definitely worth it.

Beautiful pot in a torn box.

Beautiful pot in the beautiful Oyster color. I picked it up locally because the 6.75 quart pot is super heavy.

Worth every penny!

I love my Dutch oven! The peach color is stunning in person, and the quality is incomparable. I know I will have this piece for many years to come. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to clean as well. Cannot recommend enough, worth the price!

Every single pan I own

About fifteen years ago I discovered the joy of cooking with cast iron enamel pans. I purchased a very inexpensive set that was beautiful, but cumbersome, dead heavy, and rather poor quality, suffering chips and worn enamel in short order. But it was enough for me to fall in love with cast iron enamel, and I decided to invest in Le Creuset. After getting my first pan, I was hooked; I love the way the heat radiated throughout the pan, evenly cooking food and keeping it hot from stove to table, so I continued collecting pieces. With so many beautiful colors, naturally it was impossible to stick with just one, so I now have several different colors in my collection, and I probably have too many. I display them on a metal étagière in the kitchen. My favorite piece is the large braiser in Coastal Blue, which is so beautiful that I can’t imagine why they discontinued it. Maybe it didn’t sell. Other favorites colors are Ocean, Meringue, and all the whites. There’s one tomato red Dutch oven, I don’t remember the actual color name, but it’s brighter than Cerise, and I love how it reigns among the white and blue. Oh, did I mention they are all such a pleasure for both cooking and serving? Yeah. And I’ve never had a problem cleaning up, even on the few occasions when food got burned on the bottom. Every piece still looks beautiful! Maybe it’s because with so many pieces, no single one gets constant use, but I’ve also heard from people who use one pan for everything, and I totally get it. If you’re not squeamish about a little lifting, I heartily recommend you try Le Creuset’s cast iron enamel cookware. Good luck choosing a color.

Shallow Round Dutch Oven

I was very excited to buy this and have used it many times already. Much larger than I thought it would be, but that’s not a bad thing. I opted for the beautiful camomile colour and could not be happier with that decision. It’s so very lovely.

Incredibly versatile. Can't believe I waited so long to own one of these. Stir fry, sauté, stew, boil pasta, and so on. Easy to clean. Durable.

Great Dutch Oven. This pot is perfect for stews, soup, braising, and more. The depth and width allows you to cook various amount of dishes. The color finish on the pot is beautiful and looks great when serving on the table. Overall, very satisfied with the quality, versatility, and look of the pot.

Nice But Had A Defect

Very large and heavy but good for stews, etc. This one had a "defect" in the glazing on the top edge of the lid - small but noticeable. I bought one similar but smaller previously and it also had a "defect" in the top of the lid - just like this one; I returned that one for a refund. LeCreuset needs to adopt better quality control, especially in view of how much they charge for their products.

bought this in Cerise

to cook pinto beans with hambone in, but then I got adventurous and have added beef bourguignon, coq au vin and bolognese sauce to my repertoire, as well as Ina Garten engagement chicken. it goes from cooktop, to flambé and then into up to 500•degrees oven then washes up so easily with that beautiful interior finish. one of best investment pieces I’ve ever purchased

Multi use pot

I received this as an anniversary gift from my husband. I chose the color Sage. This is my largest piece (next largest is 5.5 qt round DO). It does take up more cabinet space but I am able to stack my pieces. I broke it in making vegetables and dumplings. The dumplings had enough room to be spread out to cook properly. So happy to have this pot!!

Ktichen MVP!

Other than my chef's knife, the 6 3/4 qt. Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron Round Wide Dutch Oven is the single most cherished piece of cookware I own. I own a lot of cookware, but excluding nonstick cooking, the Round Wide Dutch Oven is the one piece of cookware that seems able to do the job of everything else.

Perfect addition for kitchen

My son sent me one for my birthday and my husband loved it. So I bought him one. In the end we have three now. It's safe to say we love them. Easy to clean and distributes heat evenly. I love that I can pop it in the oven from the stovetop. Le Creuset quality.

Love it but…

Purchased when the price was over forty percent off. It went up a little (still a decent price). This was a gift and my daughter loves it! I’m now ordering one for myself (I have over fifty pieces and use them all). I ordered another directly from LeCreuset because it’s free shipping, same price as QVC and they have a give away of free baking dishes. I wish QVC would have kept the lower price and offered free shipping. I really don’t need the extra baking dishes but free is free…

You Will LOVE This Cookware

My 1st order of Le Creuset arrived and I'm once again excited to cook! Married for almost 40 years, I had a career as a food writer and recipe developer. I can't tell you how many sets of cookware I've gone through that was a whole lot cheaper; when you have to replace it regularly, it isn't money saving. The weight of this 6.75-qt. Signature Round Oven concerned me a little (I'm 62), but that speaks to its durability. Testing it out, I can fit a roast in the center with vegetables to either side--the width makes that more possible than with a standard Dutch Oven or roaster. Perfect for a family or if you entertain guests. As another reviewer stated, it's oven to table. I look forward to trying and creating new recipes in the years to come and can pass this down as a kitchen heirloom.
