Sturdy but annoying lock feature

Seems sturdy. Wasn't hard to assemble. Not a fan of the locking design. To open it, you have to pinch the "latch" so it unlocks, while lifting the WHOLE gate, so the upper/lower lock pins clear the pin holes. The pins on the hinge side are longer and won't pop out while lifting. Closing the gate is even harder because you have to lift the gate up and line up BOTH upper/lower lock pins with those holes. Then you can sit the gate down to lock it again. The 2 gates also slide while trying to lock.

I ordered this because I have 2 round banisters and the description stated it can be installed on banisters without the need to drill holes. The gate only comes with 1 round banister adapter, and you are required to call and order an additional one (at no charge). It comes with pieces for 5 different configurations so not sure why they can not include a second banister adapter. Easy to order the part but it took 7 days to receive it.

Unhappy with the box being all ripped off

The box was all ripped by it looks like someone has previously opened it is absolutely all destroy I haven’t even opened it yet hopefully when I do open it all the pieces are inside the box. Otherwise I’ll have to return it. Disappoint ed customer

Worth the purchase

Gate was easy to install ( 1 person can do this easily ) and works just as it should. Shipping was super fast too.

Never order anything online at Lowe’s.

Product is fine. The isssue is Lowe’s using Fedx. This took way too long to get and I ordered another gate at the same time as this one. Still a now show. Ordered on 2/6/24 today is 2/20/24 and it’s NOT on back order.

Arrived slightly damaged.

Other than having a corner having the coating rubbed off, this gate is fine. I wound up mounting it my way vs. using the straps that were provided. One of the straps tore rather easily so it was easier to do it my way.

We purchased this to keep our dogs from going upstairs. It makes it easier to go upstairs without have to climb over the baby gate and almost falling over

Very nice and usefil

Well built and packed. Very easy to assemble (clear instructions!) and install. This is not a pressure gate - it is a hardware mount. This is exactly what I needed for the top of the stairs.

Exceedingly poor latch design.

Whoever designed this baby gate's latching mechanism has never tried to carry a feral toddler up the stairs and work a baby gate with one hand. The gate itself was easy to mount and very sturdy once mounted, but it doesn't matter when the latching mechanism requires two hands and laser focus to get latched and unlatched securely.

Easy set up but did not work at the bottom of our stairs due to a slight curve in the banister. Grandparents have a difficult time opening this though.

Great safety product

I installed this gate at the top of stairs with two uneven sides walls and baseboards. That led to an angle for supports and gate. It still was easy to install and closes well. It seems very well made and secure for children or pets.

Best dog gate ever!

You can attach one side of gate around stair banister without drilling any holes. So we’ve used gates in 2 places … one at top of stairs and other at hall leading to kitchen. Extremely versatile

Flawed!

This item is flawed and could not be installed. Very disappointed. My husband had to call the company and they are sending parts to fix it. They delay is very inconvenient and I'm not sure whether the parts will solve the problem when they arrive.

This gate swings out too wide and only relies on velcro for stability around stair posts. The baby loves to stand up holding on the rails and then falls down. My older kids love to pull those velcro straps down off the posts too and the gate is then unsecured and dangerous. Retractable gates are safer, screw to the wall and do not allow for standing. I switched this gate out and sold it on social media.

Works great for stairs open one one side at top and both sides at bottom.

Good quality, but can be improved.

Good quality Gate, however it could be much more usable if thengate was easier to latch, we need to put both pins in the latch but it requires effort and focus to do so.

Good Product

Great product, easy to install and adjust. Came with all the attachments for a stairway or wall. I used mine on a wall and it fit great.
