Umbrella weight

e US Weight Durable Fillable Umbrella Base is a great affordable choice for any outdoor space. It’s made from tough materials that won’t rust or fade, and you can easily fill it with sand, gravel, or water to keep your umbrella steady. The built-in handles make it easy to move around. Overall, it’s a reliable and stylish way to keep your umbrella secure.

Needed a new Umbrella Stand

Purchased from salesman Kenny of Hom. Needed new umbrella stand to hold my umbrella. Kenny was a great salesman answering all concerns/questions my wife and I had.

Sent somebody’s garbage

Received this umbrella base today. Box was damaged, dirty and VERY heavy for an empty base. Opened the box and find that Home Depot sent me somebody’s returned item that was filled with sand/concrete dust. Dirty and filthy!

Happy with this product

The stand is very heavy and holds the umbrella in place. Very windy where I live but the umbrella hasn’t budged. I like the small profile. Would buy again if needed.

Great umbrella base

Finally!! A stand that keeps my umbrella in place and not flying across the yard with a gust of wind. Holds the pole tightly and is heavy enough that it actually doesn’t need to be filled with sand.

We recently had some strong wind and weather. I kept the closed umbrella in the table and in the umbrella weight. It did fine. My chairs were in the yard and blown over but the umbrella was fine. Thanks.

Only holds 35 lbs.

The customer service was awesome. The product description is wrong and will not support an 8 ft. umbrella, however the company said they are addressing this. The add said holds 50 lbs. but the box said 35lbs..

[Rewarded Review] Good umbrella base for FL near the saltwater

Living in FL near the ocean, I have gone through several umbrella weights/ stands because of metal rot/failure. The fact that this is plastic makes that a moot point. I like that it has a “handle” to carry or move it. 50 lbs is heavy!

[Rewarded Review] Umbrella stand

It is extremely heavy it comes full with a very hard almost concrete inside . Not god for an elderly person to handle . I need to use my hand cart to put it in the yard . Because it is way too heavy to move .

[Rewarded Review] Excellent umbrella base!

Perfect! What a bargain for a high quality addition to my porch set up. The base is very sturdy and heavy as claimed. The bronze color meshes perfectly with my umbrella hue and the deck boards. The screw mechanism works fine and so far it's done a great job supporting the umbrella - no wobbles or instability at all. The umbrella is also supported by a small table with a hole, but the base is exactly what we wanted and has a small enough footprint that your feet don't feel crowded undertable. Excellent umbrella base!

Just what I wanted for the patio umbrellas. We had other bases, but the winds grabbed the umbrellas and tore them right out of the tables and actually destroyed both glass tables. Glass was everywhere and with the tables next to our pool it was really a mess. So far the wind has not been an issue with the new heavy weight bases we got from Home Depot .

Great!!!! I’’m using it on the upper deck of my house where there is often enough wind to blow over every other umbrella stand I’ve used in the past. It weighs 50 pounds (as described) which is heavier than the standard patio umbrella stands I’ve have in the past, plus the added feature of adding sand or gravel for even more weight. And it was a very good value for the cost!

Seems to be well made and is quite heavy in the concrete version. Works great on our pier. Very slick for in-lake use too, IMO. There’s really nothing to rust out, unlike most others that incorporate a metal pipe to support the umbrella pole. Very happy with this design for our needs.

The umbrella base shipped quickly and arrived in a timely manner. I weighted it water and it seems reasonably sturdy. It is important to note that it is designed to be used with a table that supports the upper part of the umbrella. The stand is not designed for and will not support a freestanding umbrella. I plan on removing the water in the winter and storing the stand inside. Time will tell how well it lasts.

WORKS AS Discribed

It's perfect for table umbrella. No worries of rust or cement breaking inside. Fill it with sand .Won't leave a rust ring on your deck. People giving it a 1 star . Use with a table only not free standing. No need to over tighten the hold down screws. Highly recommended 👌

Don't waste your money

This item I thought was great because of the weight and easy carrying handle. Once I got it, I realized it had one measly screw that doesn't even keep the umbrella centered. Maybe if it had two on either end it with a small washer at the end of them, would be a little better. My umbrella is constantly moving because the screw doesn't stay in place. My umbrella doesn't have a hole at the bottom for a screw to go in. Maybe umbrellas that do it would be fine. I would have returned it hadn't it been so heavy and just not worth the trip to carry it to a return center.

Looks like it will work great. I have a different style elsewhere on my property that is less tall. This one should be more effective with the additional height. Also, the handle is a surprisingly nice addition. The lack of a handle on the other umbrella holder we own makes relocating it difficult. This uses one bag of play sand from Home Depot...I guess about 50-55 lbs. A tip on filling it: I cut a plastic 16oz water bottle in half, used the top part as a funnel and the bottom half as a scooper. It is difficult to install wet sand. Spread your sand out on hot concrete and let it dry, then sweep it into a pile and pour away!

High Hopes Crushed

I love the weight and look of this umbrella base. However, when it arrived, the screw is bent and will not skew into the pole enough to keep the umbrella sturdy and straight. This allows the umbrella to wobble quite a bit making me cautious to have it open as a strong breeze moves it a lot. I wish the opening was a little deeper to allow a better security around the umbrella pole. Also, maybe it would have worked better if the screw worked to secure the pole instead of being bent. I definitely do not recommend this base.

Simple but practical. This base works well for us, being more than heavy enough to do the job. As it is filled with cement, there is no need to add water. (Or attract mosquitos!) The heavy plastic casing ensures that it can be slid on the bluestone patio without scuffing the stone and the fifty pound weight allows for the base to be compact enough for a four person, round table.

Works fine but had to order twice

This is the weight we needed for our umbrella and certainly feels as heavy as advertised. However, it was shipped in a cardboard box with no additional protection. The first time we ordered it, it arrived with a hole punched through the shipping box where the top of the stand protrudes. The entire top of the stand was destroyed in the shipping process. The second one arrived fine. Some protection would have prevented this. We had to use the second box to ship the first stand back since the original box was so destroyed.
