After the 1st time of use, it doesn't stay up anymore. Do not recommend.

I have installed several fold down shower seats
I have installed several of this fold down shower seat. Shower seats not tub seats, they are not made for tubs. The backing on the shower wall has to be reinforced in order to mount this type of a seat securely. They work great, and I have had no issues with them.

Lies about mounting width
The answers here say it will mount into studs on 16in center, but that is a lie. The widest the mounting brackets get from one another is 13 1/2”. You can only mount one bracket to a stud and are then expected to mount the other side with anchors. This should be clearly explained to everyone looking to buy this chair.
