Just what I needed

I've never needed to use a mortar and pestle before but, when I did, I knew just where to look for one. Perfect size for grinding sesame seeds and textured inside the bowl to make the job easier.

Hard to use and pestle has already began chipping.

I was excited to use this, but was utimately disappointed. The spices kept rolling around or slipping out of the mortar and the pester has already begun to chip after few uses.

Great "small" tool for the kitchen or medicine cabinet

I have to "grind" up medicine for my elderly cat. Having the mortar and pestle makes it easy since I then have to add liquid to it and then give it to her. The size is absolutely perfect to fit in my kitchen cabinet. Very easy to wash and dry

Surface isn't smooth

Being marble combined with the image, I chose this because i thought it would be smooth. Is smooth everywhere except for the very part I want to be, for the grinding, it is rough, I don't like it.

White Marble Mortar & Pestle

I bought this to grind up my mother's pills, because she refused to take them in their whole form. We had been cutting them and it was difficult. The M & P works perfectly. We pour the ground pills in to an empty, dry Boost bottle, add 1/3rd bottle of Boost liquid supplement, a straw, and Mom drinks all the meds. Easier and less stressful for everyone, including Mom.
