Good concept

Love the concept, but do not hirer through Home Depot to get this put together.The person that put this together I hired through home depo just tacked together, and when I went to move it fell apart the back came completely undone, and I had to get a piece of plywood to put that on the back, so what I have a functioning dresser. when it was delivered, it was missing parts the parts it took over a week to get them & it was still missing parts. It has not lasted very long due to poor assembling.

I ordered this liking the look with shelf’s and locks on drawers but once I started putting it together I realized it was missing the drawer knobs, a set of tracks, the locks and keys, and the hinges to put the door on the shelf’s. It comes in two boxes on different days it took about 3-4 hours to put together. While putting it together you can see it was clearly damaged than puttied than painted over. Customer service said they can’t send the parts as they don’t keep them in stock and they can either have us ship it out and pay for it or they can send some money back to go buy the parts myself. Would not recommend!

It’s a great dresser for the price once it’s finally built, but building it was an absolute nightmare. Instructions say it should take 90 minutes with 2 people but it took about 6 hours. It said no power tools needed but I used a power tool. A lot of holes were not predrilled and we were missing some. Also the handles are cheap plastic so we bought different ones. You really need patience and time for this one.

Decent dresser not worth assembly

Overall decent dresser. But horrible manufacturing. Whoever made this is actually an idiot. The packaging is terrible, huge mess explosion followed by opening the box. The instructions might as well be in written in Ancient Arabic. Each step has 12 subparts. It actually took my dad who is a foreman by trade a whole day and for him to have that much trouble putting a dresser together is ridiculous to me. Especially for this price it should be easier and quicker to assemble.

Regret not using a power tool. A lot of holes were not predrilled and we were missing some screws. Also the black paint/finish came off like dye on your hands and continues to come off after wiping. Also the handles are cheap plastic so we bought different ones.

Not recommended, It was just the wrong one.

This is terrible for a dresser. It seems like it was made in the deepest part of hellllll . Some of the hardware came bent, some of wood is cheap and chip too easily. Way too heavy for me to throw them away. Tried to mount it for over 2 days using the manual it still came out wrong, instructions are not clear enough if you are not too handy. Top drawers won't adjust, door fixture are bent, if you try more than once the wood is damaged because of its flakiness. I am very disappointed because I won't be able to return it, it's too heavy and I live on 3rd floor.

The wood is too flaky. If ANYTHING hit it, it chips. Even a 3 year old child. Be extra careful with this product. I had to return it because the delivery person hit it against the stairway coming up and it was messed up so badly. I couldn't cover up the chipped parts. There were too many dents and chipped areas. The same person delivered the second shipment and can you guess what happened? Yes, he did it again. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as the first time. It's great to hold my TV on. That's what it's for.

Great dresser for the price!

Great dresser for the price else comparable to the design is $700 - $1,000. It did take two of us with a drill 8 hours to assemble over two days. We were prepared since we read other reviews. The assembly went better than I thought. Step 2 doesn't give you warning about what slides to put on which panels I think that could have been packaged according to what went together

Another hodedah piece of trash

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This dresser is a piece of trash (as is almost everything Hodedah makes). I assemble furniture for a living and it took me nearly 7 hours over 2 days to put this together. The instructions are all but worthless, the assembly is over complicated and nonsensical, and the manufacturing is some of the worst I've ever seen. Every Hodedah product I've assembled has these problems. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Avoid this overpriced piece of trash and spend your money on something else, or hire someone to build you a dresser from scratch, you'll be glad you did.

A Beautiful Challenge

During some remodeling, I put together a lot of Walmart's boxed furniture. This chest of drawers had parts I'd seen many times.

Hire Someone To Build This For You!

I was very excited about this dresser, until it came. First it came in 2 packages, which wouldn't have been a problem, except the came 1 day after each other. You are literally building this dresser yourself. So you have to make holes, and measure everything thing. I didn't cause putting it together was already too much. There was only one video I could find of someone putting this together, but they had the video sped up, so it was no help. This took me 2 days to do. I still like the dresser but it could have been pre assembled better, cause you also have to do that too. The material is also not really long lasting. So I won't get much time out of this piece.

Stick to Ikea

The instructions for the dresser says it'll take two people and 90 minutes. That's laughable. It takes about four hours to assemble everything. The hinges for the doors were super bent and the "wood" is flimsy. It'd be comparable to Ikea furniture, except Ikea is easier to assemble and comes with less broken pieces. The drawers will also look slightly cockeyed unless you perfectly measure every angle of the drawers while you put them together. I'm guessing this dresser will last for one move then fall apart. I guess you can't ask too much for a $200 dresser though...

Sorry, but do not buy this

I made the mistake of thinking this might be a good cabinet. It is not: the particle board material is so flimsy, that if you drop a piece on the floor, the corners break. The instructions are beyond terrible; it says 90 min in 2 ppl to assembly it. Well, it took me and a male friend 4 1/2 hours to put together 3/4 of it...and 2 more hours the rest of the 1/4. It is deceitful information. For this price and this quality, it is ridiculous the time you have to put in. So, do yourself of favor, add $100 and get a better quality one. I do not know why I steered away from IKEA products. Again.

this dresser does look exactly like the picture. when you hold a piece it's pretty heavy so worth the price for sure. but it comes in several parts you have to put each individual piece on each part. it takes forever to put this together so expect to spend hours on this. instructions is somewhat user-friendly but not really. when I purchased mine it came with missing parts. although I was not happy with my purchase but happy with the way the product looked in the box when I took it out. I do have to say Walmart did send me a replacement haven't received it yet but hoping this one will come with all the pieces. because in my opinion it is a really nice dresser.

If I could give this 0 stars I will. At first i was like ok the reviews might not be to good. I still went ahead and buy it. On collecting I was given 1 box so from seeing the reviews my question was am I suppose to have 2 boxes on which I was inform NO. Get home and ready to build to realize half the material missing. Call home depot and went for the other box. Once again ready to build to find out no hardware SERIOUSLY!!!

This is one of those times that I should have believed the reviews on a product. They were right. I never bought any furniture that was as horrible as this. Rather it was cheap or expensive, and I have purchased both before. The chests are pretty in color, but you can tell that it is not real wood. I like the design of it. The edges of the chest looks worn even though it is new. The product was packed poorly. There is dents, scratches and gauges on parts of the chests. One of the boards were broken in half. The foam in the inside is thin and crumbly. Foam was everywhere in tiny pieces. The nails were not in the bags but loose inside the box. It could be a nice piece to have if they packed it better and didn't damage it before it makes it to you.

Aggressively bad

Around 6-8 hours to create, assembly manual would have been more helpful if it was written in Egyptian hieroglyphics, called customer support only to be informed that it was simply standard practice for it to be missing half the nails that the instructions called for. It was also missing another vital piece - at some point I almost expected someone to pop out from the box and tell me that I was getting pranked, and the real chest of drawers was on its way.

You get what you pay for.

This was purchased for my studio, to hold office supplies. The first thing we noticed was the assembly instructions are sorely lacking. noplace does it explain how to assemble the locking mechanisms, there are no words, only diagrams and numbers telling how it goes together. It took much studying and some guesswork to figure out how this went together. Some places had multiple holes drilled for the screws but didn't actually tell you which ones to use. After unpacking we noticed a little damage to the corners of a few pieces. We figured it was okay, we could deal with it. After starting assembly we realized the corner damage was to quite a few pieces, It came in two boxes, one of them must have been dropped on a corner as almost all the larger pieces had damage to one corner, some were chipped veneer, some just crushed in. At that point we decided to just live with it, since repacking it and shipping it back as a return would be difficult. After putting it together, I tried to put the adjustable shelves in the cabinet portion and they are too big, measuring them revealed that they were about 1/2 to 3/4 inch too wide for the cabinet. I am a little disappointed in the quality of this product, but you get what you pay for and the next price point up was too much.
