I purchased this product to replace an under cabinet light that was no longer working and was fifteen years old. This unit was a perfect fit in the space where the old light was mounted. The wiring that powered the old lamp was perfectly compatible with this lamp and it took less than 30 minutes to hook up the wiring and mount the lamp. Since this lamp was selectable, I was able to use a setting which gave the exact same brightness and shade of the illumination as the other lights under the adjacent cabinets. Since this light is an LED it illuminates instantly unlike the other lights which are illuminated by fluorescent bulbs. When the other lights fail to work, I will replace them with NICOR under cabinet lights!
