I tried the 2 piece make your own from Home Depot, it’s not big enough! It does not fit snugly on Remodel boxes.

Specialty plate cost a little more but nice to have the option for remodel work where a 2-gang box ended up with only one switch installed. Rather than remove the 2-gang box and install a 1-gnag box and do wall repairs to cover the hole left this cover made a nice finished look. Toggle switch is pictured on the left side so I had to install the Wall plate upside down because my switch was on the right side of the 2-gang box.
