[Rewarded Review] American standard bolts are not standard

I bought an American standard toilet the contractors left and I had no bolt covers. Home Depot sold me the Replacement bolt covers and they don’t fit unless you cut the bolts. This is stupid. If it’s standard, it’s standard, give me standard bolt covers

Good system

I own a sewer and drain clearing company. It is routinely necessary for me to remove and reinstall commodes to perform my service. I purchase brass closet bolts in bulk and these nut and cap assemblies. There are no elements to rust, the tendency to over tighten damaging closet flanges or breaking commode bases, they are more than adequate securing the commode and it is not necessary to cut the closet bolts to install the cover.

I use these on ALL toilets, not just American Standard. Although I always highly recommend to the customer that they purchase American Standard products. Best bolt cap money can buy!

I was looking for hand tightening toilet bolts. They are surprisingly hard to find and look similar to this kit but alas, they are not.

We have 6 Edgemere toilets in our houses and love them. The tricorn nylon nut is neat, and holds the cap on well. BUT you must be very careful not to overtighten it, if so it will pop. I bought these spares beacause, if the closet has to come up to replace the seal, you will need the nuts
