The thermostat functions properly. The turn dial allows you to turn my heater on and off based on temperature, but the numbers for the temperature are no where close to the actual temperature. I have the thermostat set to 60 and the room stays at 68.

This product will make our lives much easier. We recently bought an older home with electric heat, had always had gas heat before. The baseboard heat in each room had an individual heat control on each unit, with no temperature. Being in our mid 60's it is sometimes difficult to get down that low to control the heat. This unit will make that much easier. However, as my husband does not like to work with electricity we had to wait for our son to install the unit
