There’s Nothing Like A SimpleHuman

This is my second Simplehuman Kitchen garbage can in 13yrs, so the first thing that I love about it is itsis durability. When I purchased this item, it was exactly what I was looking for, black, sleek, opened sideways, washable and very important it had wheels yet a low profile and lastly affordable. So obviously when I needed a new kitchen trash can the only way to go was with a Simplehuman!

Great Slimline (lockable) Bin...

Originally bought to replace a small bathroom bin by side of toilet but it wasn't as Slimline as I'd thought. lol Nevertheless, got it at a "bargain price" so I wasn't about to return it and it now resides in my kitchen. It has a very smart look about it and black bin bags can be knotted at the side to help keep everything nice and clean. The fact that it locks🔒 simply means peace of mind when leaving the house especially when you have pets at home. Great choice..great buy!

Great trash can for small spaces

Slimline pedal bin fits neatly into my bijoux kitchen - not too big or small and good content size. Looking forward to when it is full to see how easy it is to remove rubbish. Was this bin a second as the top metal clip arrived scratched on the silver closure? Nevertheless, I like this bin and the wheels are nice feature plus the soft close lid.

simple human.

This is the best trash can I've ever purchased. It's been in heavy, everyday use for almost 5 years and still works amd looks like new. It has been a saving grace as we have great danes and this prevents them from making messes digging through the garbage. I've never had a garbage can last without breaking. I won't purchase any other garbage can in the future unless it is from simplehuman.

Love that it locks and have no issues with pups getting into the garbage. Not as wide as other makes it easier to fit into spaces

I had the most outstanding customer service experience ever in your North Hills Location in Pittsburgh. I walked every aisle & could not find the indoor garbage can ailse. I ran in to an associate up on a tall ladder in carpets. Not only did he stop what he was doing, but he immediately smiled at me & assisted me in where to find my product. So off I went, and he was 100% accurate, but I couldn't find prices on any of the cans. So off I went to the front counter & ran into my angel -again. And once again, he stopped what he was doing & assisted me again. I do not remember his name, but he was a vary handsome young black male-that is my ANGEL.

I have had this product in the past but bought at a different retailer. Needed a new trash bin for a new apartment. What I received was a product that was not usable. Top did not align so it could be inserted for use. There was a loose metal piece in the box that was probably part of the open/close mechanism. It was packed very poorly.

Does exactly what you'd expect

We bought this because we needed a kitchen garbage can skinny enough to fit between our range and the wall. This fit the bill! We've only had it for a few days, but it seems to function well, looks like ... well, a garbage can ... and takes regular kitchen garbage can liners. The lid closing device has a damper on it, so it closes gently, which is nice but not necessary. Seems like a decent product.

Well Made Trashcan

This is my second; the first one lasted 11 years! I love the silent function, the durability. The only thing that bothers me at all is that every time the pedal is pushed, the trashcan moves backwards ever so slightly; so I have to pull it forward back into position after every few uses so it's not against the wall. If you could come up with some sort of "stopper" that could prevent this, it would be a 5 for sure!

Great size

Love our bins, bought one black for general, one grey for recycling. Normal bin liner fits perfectly round the rim snugly.

Fabulous and good looking bin

I love my slim pedal bin and the liquid freshener works so well in an open plan kitchen/lounge. Slight problem is the bin does slip on the wooden floor and a bit of rubber floor grip added to the design would be an improvement, hence 4 stars. Great looking slimline bin that takes little space but a lot of waste, just great!

I have purchased this same trash can multiple times over the last 20 years because it fits perfectly in my kitchen. Normally they last several years before the lid begins to pop off when opened with the foot pedal. The lid does not stay on at all with this new can. I returned one and purchased another because it was so bad. I experienced the same problem with the replacement can. I ended up drilling holes in the lid and used zip ties to keep the lid from coming off.

40 L Slim pedal bin

Fantastic product. Bought to sit alongside an identical one which I have labelled for use for my elderly Mum’s carers. Space saving and very practical.

Keeps moving

Very pleased with bin as had one before only problem is the wheels every time you put you foot on the pedal the bin moves backwards and in our case hitting the door why does it need to have wheels on I know the last one did but didn’t prove a problem

Flimsy, unstable, and really poor design

The picture is deceptive to what the trash can actually is. It appears to be robust, but in reality, it falls over easily. It's cheap plastic. Trash goes everywhere. See that silver/gray piece on the top in the picture... you have to PULL it out to open the lid!!! You can't just step on the foot piece to open. And, the lid is not secure on the hinges either. There is a little, metal hook that's supposed to hold it on. THis is the WORST trash can I've ever had. It's 4 times too much on the price. I wish I could return... total fail and waste.

The lid keeps falling off and unstable

Lid keeps falling off not very stable. You can easily knock it over and due to poor lid design it can spill all the trash out. I thought this would be upgrade from the usual plastic ones from hefty that I usually buy but I was wrong. This is more expensive and worse product. It does fit 13gallon trash bags though with some struggle.

Very disappoint design

We purchased this as it is lockable so although it solved the problem of cat bin diving we just have a new set issues.The lock mechanism is very stiff and as such I have caused damage to my hands and have to stand behind the bin to lock/unlock it.

Bon produit mais

Assez bon produit mais mauvaise expérience. J’ai reçu ma commande en double (poubelle et sacs), j’ai retourné cet énorme colis par la poste (frais pris en charge) puis je me suis aperçue que la poubelle conservée avait un léger défaut sur le plastique. La fermeture anti-animaux ne fonctionne pas. Bref très déçue pour le prix et une poubelle sans bac intérieur. Sinon plutôt jolie.
