No better than a regular scooper.

Thought it would work better than a regular scoop, but I was wrong. You still have to warm it up under hot water or it won’t work... unless you let your ice cream thaw on the counter for an hour. I don’t know who does that though?

Great tool for the task

I liked the design so I bought two - glad I did so as I don’t get caught short when one is in the dishwasher. I use them nightly and they work great. Proper weight and very strong. Scooped ice cream releases easily.

Stronger than expected

All the 1/2 gallon cartons of ice cream I buy are generally hard as concrete. This scoop went through the ice cream like it was warm butter!!! I'll never use any other ice cream scoop except this one!!

Very sturdy and 'sharp' edged to cut through hard ice cream. Ergo handle is a plus! Much better than the push button scoops with wiper blade in scoop.
