Not good on uneven surfaces

I like the thin profile of this scale, but the drawback is it has to be perfectly level in order for it to weigh/read properly. It needs bigger feet to compensate for a slightly uneven surface especially if you are moving the scale around. The scale is very lightweight. I paid half price for it on sale so the quality is in line with what I paid. I would not pay full price for this item. My intent was to use this for my culinary classes, but the scale’s inability to measure in different kitchens and surfaces makes it useless.

Disappointing

Pretty disappointed with this scale. I bought it because of the flat glass surface -- I regularly drop food on my scale and if it has buttons or seams anywhere on the surface, food will get into the crevices, so the flat glass top was the main draw for this purchase. I notice a few finish issues -- markings on the glass that won't come off, coloration on the glass that blocks part of the display -- nothing that really affects the function of the scale, just makes me wonder what else about the manufacturing was sloppy. The thing that makes me regret the purchase is the auto-off time. It takes a full 5 minutes to turn off. It requires 2 coin batteries (which are expensive and needing 2 seems excessive), so the waste of waiting a full 5 minutes to turn off is very disappointing. My previous scale turns off after 1 minute, which generally was plenty of time. Definitely would not recommend or purchase again.

Touch screen unresponsive

The scale touch screen did not work effectively. It was a very frustrating process to operate the scale because it would not respond to touch reliably.

This is the best thing since slice bread ! It’s super thin so it’s easy to store away! It’s super accurate and helps up to keep our recipes even ! Definitely affordable!

Bad scale. It says Low when reset. After changing batteries, it continues to say Low and displays nothing when stepped on.

The black accented my stainless steel appliances. This is a must have in our house with my boyfriends cooking. I’m glad I could find one that went with everything

Works as expected

While this was purchased for use other than as a kitchen scale it works very well.

Needs bigger battery.

This scale is pretty good. It stays on whatever unit you have selected even after powering off. The only gripe we have with it is the battery life since we use it almost every day. We're replacing batteries about every month. To extend the battery, you have to make sure to turn it off right way.

AWS Onyx Digital Scale

The sleek design, simple, no battery operation and reasonable price enticed me to buy this scale. The design is great indeed, but it DOES CONTAIN 2 lithium batteries despite the fact that the web site spec claims : "Does not contain batteries". The power button mostly does not work, the reason could be the battery that does not sit tight in the holder. If I open the battery holder door and firmly push in the batteries, it turns on. But then the scale has to be turned over, and the battery loosens again...... Once I had the scale on, I tried to weigh different items, and it worked fine.
