This is perfect for what I needed which was a temporary lighting fixture while repainting the ceiling in a bathroom. This adaptor and one of the old fashioned porcelain light sockets is light enough to dangle out of the way on the J-box wires so that you can work around the J-box and still have light. Just be careful to tape any exposed conductors with electrical tape so that you don't accidentally get shocked while working.

It does work but is obviously made overseas. The build quality is marginal: both the male and female threads do not turn easily and is not nearly as well made as the same product from the 1980s.

3 out of the 4 that I bought, worked. One wouldn’t three properly and, when I unscrewed it, left the metal in the socket. I had to remove the piece from the socket with pliers. When it works, it’s a good inexpensive solution.

Love using these to extend light sockets from single to dual. These are great for providing additional light in a basement, garage or closet.

Limited lifespan for this plastic bulb holder. I use them in my garage to double the light available, and have had to replace a few times in 15 years. Large bulbs hasten their disintegration. But cheap enough to replace before dangerous.

Y did I buy this? Get it, y? Because I needed two bulbs where there was only one socket.

Bought it for my garage door opener. Needed a second outlet beside the light. This works fine and is reasonably priced. There was an issue with finding the item; it wasn't in a bin. But the manager kindly came out and helped me find the item on the shelves.

Simple product does what it is supposed to.

They are junk do not buy them. Poorly made, the silver contact that screws in the socket comes off during the installation. Could be a shock hazard..

As described, it did the job I needed item for.
