Will not turn off unless in test mode - defective

Bought this last year to replace a 10 year old security light that still worked but used incandescent bulbs to save energy. The unit worked for 1 day and now won't turn off. The electronics for motion detection are defective. Will be returning to HD.

It wasn't clear that this was only motion-detection operation, and not capable of being turned on and off manually. Also, it only seemed to work when in "test" mode. It would not turn on when in the other modes.

I had bought Defiant motion sensor lights previously from Home Depot. They both failed so I received a gift card to buy others. I decided on the Halo even though it was twice the price it appeared to be a good system with a 5-year warranty. The first line on the instruction sheet enclosed was "an adapter plate sold separately is required to mount the light" I immediately scoured the box with a fine-tooth comb and found no mention of this fact. Now I have to return the light or find this adapter plate. So sad

Good looking light fixture. V bright and easy to install....

Good looking light fixture. V bright and easy to install. 4000 lumen bright enough for residential use, coz 5000 lumen is too bright, only good for industrial or rural area, in my humble opinion. Home Depot efficient service, easy to pick up.
