Missing plastic attachment clips

The product was delivered damaged. Couldn’t use at all. Had to reorder. Not happy with delays.

Buyer beware

Don’t buy this product. I first had to trim and smooth rough edges from the edges of each panel with my utility knife. There were NO written instructions. It appeared to be easy to set, but when I went to set the back wall, one of the bottom tabs broke off. The tabs and posts were so tight that I had to force them into place. I still don’t feel that they are seated well enough. Most of all, be aware that the side walls are designed to be about 2” off of the studs after installation. Therefore, my rough in valve was too deep in the wall. It was pretty much a nightmare to install.

Poor qualitly?

Had to make 4 trips to get enough parts for 1 unit. The back wall was broken all 3 times, a side wall once. Raises concerns about the durability once installed. I recently got 2 other shower brands from a different supplier and neither of these had issues. The packaging for the Sterling brand has a bit of styrofoam and 1 thin sheet of cardboard, the other brands had much heavier cardboard and no damage (not that it would make any difference to a forklift). The person at the customer service desk at Home Depot said they routinely have trouble with Sterling shower surrounds. Home Depot made it worth my while on this but they might like to rethink offering Sterling showers. Also, there was a $100 incentive to apply for the Home Depot credit card, that didn't materialize either.

DO NOT BUY. I am a Licensed General Contractor and this was one of the worst quality products I've ever had the misfortune of buying. If I didn't have all my experience and tools it never would have worked. ZERO quality control.

The design is good with several shelves and aesthetically pleasing arches, but I'm not at all impressed with the construction quality of the walls. The edges, where you are supposed to screw in the walls, are thin and unfinished in a couple of places. In other places, there are large burrs of excess material, bad enough that it wasn't fitting together at first until I sanded the whole edge to allow it to fit into the groove in the adjacent wall. It just seems that a prefab unit would come complete and in good condition edge to edge. These manufacturing defects actually resulted in shipping damage to a weakened spot, so I had to order a 2nd unit that arrived with the same issues.

This shower kit is cheap and flimsy, I had to reorder this shower kit three times because it is packed poorly and breaks easily. I will stay away from the Sterling brand shower kits after this experience, and will probably look at other options in the future for my purchases.
