This chest is beautiful. well built and it is cedar. however i gave it four stars because of dealing with the company. i ordered a second one by mistake. their return policy is the buyer pays return shipping!

This is a nice small chest. I use it for winter sweaters. It could also be used for blankets and toys

It arrived way sooner than expected. It was a Christmas gift for my 20-year-old daughter. We purchased it be used as a hope Chest for her wedding next year. While it is not lined with or made from Cedar as listed ie; "Cedar Chest". It is still perfect for what we need. Also, the hinges for the lid to keep the lid from closing on fingers, etc. were not the right hinges and could not be used but still a great value for the money.

A Little Issue

There's a defect in the product that if you put the internal closures on, the chest will not close properly. Other than that, its nice.

Great addition to the living room!!

I am THRILLED to have this cedar chest!! It is absolutely beautiful!! I have been wanting one for the past several years but could never find what I wanted exactly. But I have now! Right now, it serves as a toy box for my daughter's but will eventually be used to store their dowry. The wood is just exquisite. And the smell! I have always loved the aroma of cedar chests! The instructions for assembly were quite confusing, so I had to get help from my husband. However, I'm not the best at reading instructions, so that was probably just me. This cedar chest is very sturdy and will last for many many years. I am SO happy!!

Looks good, smells good and is very solid!

I absolutely love this natural cedar chest! The piece isn't overly large, but perfect for storing many items (I am using mine for all of the extra blankets). It was well packaged and every piece taken care of in shipping so that nothing arrived broken, dented, etc. It smells amazing! This is real cedar and not made just to look like it. It was easy to put together and it is very solid and sturdy. The hardware is solid and the feet have plastic buttons on the bottom so it can slide across my hardwoods without scratching them. The top is thick enough for me to sit on without feeling at all that I'll break it. I love the natural tone - it works with my decor; it would be easy to change the look later on.

First, I want to say that this was a bit harder to build than I expected. The pieces all seemed to be there, but the partial start of holes was all messed up. I had to create all new because they were all off slightly making it harder to put together.

Cedar chest

I received my cedar chest. I am very impressed with it. It was very easy to put together with step by step easy to read instructions including pictures. The chest is made with high quality materials. The chest is very beautiful and my favorite piece of furniture that fits in well with all of my other furniture. It a a nice and secure storage chest for linens or otheritems alike. I get lots of compliments on my cedar chest . I would recommend this cedar chest to anyone .

Stunning!!!!

The natural finish cedar chest is absolutely stunning. It was super easy to assemble, the instructions were easy to understand. The cedar chest is impeccable quality and just a beautiful piece. I couldn’t be happier with this new piece. One of my favorite features is how the lid doesn’t just slam closed, it goes slowly. In the event a child was to get in it there are air holes to prevent suffocating. So pleased with this!!

Damaged

Damaged upon delivery! Two pieces the top and bottom panels came crushed. Also didn’t come with assembly instructions!

great size to use for a beach condo coffee table plus has built in storage for the sofa bed linens! we drilled 2 holes in each side and added nautical rope loop handles to each side, making it easy to move out of the way when sofa bed is needed. be aware that back side is plain with a 2" hole near the top center (probably to let the chest 'breathe' due to the actual cedar bottom inside). no problem - we found a great anchor w/a 2" hole at the top and attached it - looks like it was meant to be that way all along - similar beach coffee table listed @ well over $500. now mine is a one-of-a-kind!

I love this chest!

I bought two of these chests. I use one for all my bed sheets, shams, and pillowcases. The other one I'm using for seasonal clothing storage (swimsuits, shorts, tank tops, summer nighties, ETC) now, and once winter is over, I'll swap that out and store my heavy winter clothing and jackets. This frees up so much room in my closets and dressers.

Nice piece of furniture but not white

We have very modern decor, we bought this for a project we were doing in a corner area. The chest is definitely quality but not white, as it appears in the pictures. It’s very cream and almost beige in my opinion. We had to repaint it, to match our white/gray decor. The white baseboard in my photo you can tell are drastically different than the chest. Same with the instruction book.
