After reading many reviews of leaking and mold I sent it back instead of attempting to use it. Just not worth the risk.
This is the first slow feeder bowl that works for my chihuahua Tiny. She was in a hoarder situation until she went to a rescue group. I got her when she was about 2 yr old. She was very shy and took a lot of time to warm up to me. She has been a fast eater for 5 yr. This bowl has slowed her down to an acceptable speed. Now I feel better about her health.
A little larger than expected, but, useful to keep my dog from gulping his food.
