Beautiful, but defects make light unusable

The light itself is beautiful. We ordered three, but two of the three that we opened had manufacturing defects that prevented the down rods from connecting. We tried purchasing connector pieces at a local home improvement store, but they were too long and would have to be modified -- which was too much work for three lights. Ultimately, we were not able to install the lights as the down rod would not be able to support the weight of the glass globe and we could not trust it to not fall on our heads. We didn't even bother opening the third box. Overstock was helpful and easily approved the return.

Beware During Installation

I'm only giving this 4 stars because the parts didn't fit exactly right during installation, so after screwing together the parts and hanging the light, the threads didn't hold and the glass crashed onto the counter exploding into shards. We didn't use all of the pieces so were sure to discard all the similar mis-sized pieces for the other 2 fixtures and hung those securely. Overstock did promptly replaced the broken light. And the other 2 we got up look great and were a good price.

Great lights and great seller!

We ordered 3 of these lights for our kitchen, and they are very pretty. I love the Edison bulb and the clear glass. You can use dimmable bulbs in these lights as well, up to 100 watts. The seller, unbeatablesales, was awesome in replacing one of the shades that had a small chip or two in it. I am very happy with this purchase and the seller!
