Bought this to replace a broken one that was already in our home. Great looking stylish pendant light, and the silver mercury paint-like finish is nice.

Beautiful pendant light!

This is a great looking fixture! I wasn't crazy about the cloth-covered cord, would have preferred a downrod, so I bought some lightweight brushed aluminum tubing, cut it to size and slipped it over the cord. It looks great!

Cheap product

I just installed an Evie Pendant Light by Kichler. For the price (over $150) I thought I was buying a quality light fixture. I actually purchased the opposite. Everything about this product is inferior: the threads on the outside of socket were warped and the inside wasn’t much better as the lightbulb wad difficult screw in. The glass is cheap and sharp on the edges, but worst of all is the quality of the wire. The covering of the wire is extremely thin which makes me feel that it is not up to code. Also, the cording is gray and I was expecting brushed Nickel tubing. The only thing that is brushed nickel is the canopy. Honestly, I could go to the hardware store and buy the parts to make a better light fixture than this. It does have a nice look from a distance but I would much prefer a quality fixture.

disappointing

Similar to the other reviews, we found it impossible to balance the two glass shades so they sit evenly. Super frustrating every time we want to dust the lights. ALSO, the gold leaf has tarnished/turned black so that the shades look terribly dirty.

These lights are lovely and light in both color and weight. The mercury glass adds a nice luster. They are well packaged and they arrived promptly. They will work best in a small area or one that has light coloring, where they won't be overwhelmed by darker colors.

I would not recommend this light

I ordered two of these lights for my bathroom from a local lighting store. The first went up no problem. The second one, which was packaged markedly different from the first and should have given us pause,was missing the part called "threaded stud" which holds the rope cord in place. It was installed when we realized this was missing from the screw packet, so I left it installed, since the electrician was already going to charge me, and I called customer service (hah) the next day. They could not help me. So I called the lighting store and they contacted the rep, and the only solution (I swear for a tiny little nut) is to pay the electrician (again) to take down the light and then they would get me a replacement (and again I would pay the electrician to install) . They could not just send me the missing piece. And so we were going to have to return the light that we already cut to size, and they were going to take back a now useless light and I was going to have to re-install - all for little tiny screw. Obviously there is money to waste here. I am remodeling an entire house - have added Kichler lighting to the foyer, Kichler ceiling fan in the bedroom and now the bathroom lights. But I will not continue to order, as I believe there is no regard for the expense that they would be potentially costing me. I have declined the offer and will look for new lights. It will be cheaper than paying the electrician for two more visits.

Gorgeous lights

These lights looked beautiful from the photos, and they did not disappoint when I received them in the mail. Pretty glass and great size. My only slight complaint is that you have to mess with the upper glass piece a little bit to get it to lie straight. Very happy with these lights!

Beautiful!

We love these pendant lights in our powder room. It is a very small room so we wanted to make it as pretty as possible. These pendants really add to the feeling of luxury in the room.

[Rewarded Review] Headache

I bought a set of these pendant lights a year ago and wish I hadn't. The design is horrible. It is nearly impossible to balance the globes within each other because the socket / inner globe / spacer / outer globe all float loosely. When we try to clean the light, it takes half an hour to straighten them out so they all seem aligned - and we never quite get to where we are happy with them. I contacted Kichler to see if they had a wider spacer or something to assist with this, but they were no help. I would suggest avoiding these, especially if you are hanging more than one in a line.

Caution

I purchased 4 of these and sadly, am very disappointed. The outer glass rests on a rubber gasket and it's very hard to get it to sit evenly-they always tilt to one side. The glass is very fragile; a few arrived chipped, one has already been replaced and I've noticed a few other chips recently. I bought these because I liked them and Kichler has a great name-I've purchased many lights from them over the years but if I could return these, I would.
