I had the exact one that lasted 15 years seems bronze does not last forever as the thread end split, It was easy to install and worked perfectly I like this vacuum breaker brand Zurn 34-720A Wilkins because it is easy to rebuild and the kit is available at Home Essentials Direct. I have added drain port before the valve in case of a real cold winter so it doesn't freeze and break and is a lot cheaper then type that can handle a freeze.; I am having the unit tested which I am sure will pass.

I contacted Zurn at 855-663-9876. They want me to hire a plumber to test the equipment and then have Home Essentials Direct handle the warranty replacement. Home Essentials Direct site points to the manufacturer to handle warranty. Several days later - I changed the rating from 1 to 3 because Zurn sent me documentation to diagnose the unit. After studying the document and tried different things, it turns out the unit was OK. I was not happy with the manufacturer's response in helping customers and in warranty handling. Going forward, I would only buy products from manufacturers that would take better ownership of customers' questions and warranty concerns.

The cost of this item is just great. I LOVE IT. The beauty of this device and the way it works is quite understandable. The grounds keepers wanted to fix this device for $225.00 and I said no. I looked this device up on the Youtube and listened to all they had to say and when I bought my item I knew exactly what to do and sure enough I followed all the instructions and NOW my irrigation system works just GREAT. I SAVED quite a bit of change on this job of mine. This was about the same price as the plastic parts that go inside of this item. I say buy the whole thing and do the job yourself if you can. I found it so easy.

I bought this part as a direct replacement of a valve that was installed in my house by the previous owner. The reason I had to buy a replacement was because the old one burst due to a cold front that hit our city one night. It got so cold that a lot of houses around the neighborhood had water pipe damage. The part seems to be of very good quality. Looks and feels sturdy and durable. It was very easy to install, since it was a direct replacement. I haven't had any issues since installation.

Was kind of a bite to install as I had copper pipes that attached to it. PVC would have been much easier. Took about four hours since I had to go to home depot twice. Had to have a blow torch, solder, and flux. All is working now. I got a heat cord to wrap it with to keep this one from rupturing in a cold snap.
