Nice Stove

I had a stove that heated up to 2000sq ft which was way too much for my smaller home. I found this unit and it's built pretty good. I always read reviews and seen some folks had a problem of burning too fast.

Never got the product. It was going to be shipped by 3rd party carrier who called me two days before delivery and told me they were unable to deliver. The product was shipped to Sheboygan, Michigan and was supposed to be delivered in Alpena Michigan. HD hired another third-party carrier who instead of delivering it drove it from Sheboygan to Grand Rapids. It sat for a week and a half with no plans to deliver and Home Depot telling me they refused to refund it because it was in delivery. After two phone calls, they finally agreed to cancel the order and refund my money.

Nice little stove

We have a smaller space to heat; this little stove is going to look great. We've had Ashley stoves before and know that they're good quality. The blower arrived damaged but was quickly replaced. A great online experience.

Satisfied

Pros- Burns really efficiently with dry hardwood. Easy starting with kindling, while cracking door open to stoke. Burns exceptionally hot even on lowest setting (perhaps too hot for some but we like it warm). Fairly safe on all settings just don't forget to close the door and walk away while stroking because it gets hot fast. Easy to move. Good hot 4 hour burn. Good coals for another couple hours. Easy to assemble. The 4inch inlet vent plate is nice. We have it in the basement. The reason we got this stove is because after the fire burned out in our old wood furnace, air would try to enter at its lowest point of the house, which is the basement. Air would flow through exhaust chimney and out the inlet vent into the basement with a smell. There was no way to modify and completely seal air tight. This vent negates the pressure, if you modify and seal the seams around the base and ash pan. Problem solved and objective complete. Satisfied far more in positive direction rather than dis-satisfied. Overall on scale 1-10 I give an 8+. Which is above expectations given the affordable price.

Delivery was good.I pulled out a fire place and installed the Ashley all went good.Been to warm to burn yet but it looks good and I think it will help with heating bill.

Love it!

It works very well, no complaints. Cozy heat. Looks great in our kitchen, heats the whole house. To those complaining about it burns wood too fast - Try putting a damper inside the pipe. It has a built in damper but if you need more try a manual one inside the pipe, old fashioned, but it may help. For those complaining of smoke or can't get it lit, there's several causes for that, most having to do with knowing how to operate it. If you are a novice on wood stoves, get with a neighbor who knows stoves well or call a chimney sweep or other professional, perhaps it is a safety issue or it's installed improperly. Don't take my advice as expert, but I have have several wood stoves.

Great little stove

Recent purchased a little Ashley stove 1200sq ft. Purchasing process was very easy, best price and seems to be of good quality and attractive. Comes pre assembled on a pallet so installation is very easy and blower fan was easy to install also. Shipping took awhile longer than expected but was worth waiting for it. Only had one small fire so far to burn it off but seems to work great.

Wood stove in the south

Well packaged, great 1 day service and great driver. The only thing that doesn't work is the ash shaker to drop ash in ash pan.My stove shovel does just fine..

Marginal

Rated at 68000 btu, but can’t keep my 750 sq foot house maintained when it’s 10f. 0 degrees I have to use the propane wall heater to supplement. It seems to heat the same as the 30000 btu wall heater.

Shipping is Issue

Stove is fine, but Lowes turned order over to US Stove, which shipped it via Old Dominion Freight. They showed up with a Class 7 truck?? I do not have a loading dock at my residence. I expected a furniture truck. They dropped stove at street 200 yards from house. Lowes never mentioned this.

By far the worst brand in the industry. You will regret this purchase and spend more time and money trying to fix the piles of garbage this Ashley Hearth company spits out. Profit over quality and craftsmanship. Go with a reliable brand for your heating needs.

Very efficient..

This little stove will efficiently heat 1200 sqft .. I know because thats the size of our cabin. We purchased our model with the catalytic converter and the cost difference was well worth the efficiency trade-up. We save every piece of wood 2in and bigger from our small 5ac woods to heat our home. The smaller diameter of wood, the more efficient this little stove will operate. Two 3in x 16in fir logs will burn for 3 hours in this stove, and thoroughly heat the entire 1200 sqft. We also use small low voltage circulation fans to move the heat around the cabin more efficiently as well. We are able to run our entire house hold on less than 80amps electricity by using this little wood stove along with LP gas for cooking and clothes dryer. Hot Water is obtained from a 20 gal point of use system requiring a 110v 15amp circuit. Im very satisfied with what this little stove has accomplished by reducing my heating bills and electric needs!
