Great for home-made air cleaner

I wanted to have a strong MERV 15 carbon filter and tape it to the back of an also-strong box fan so I could draw air in through the window when the air quality was not ideal. With all the Canadian and Western US and northern Minnesota wildfires, we have constant poor air quality now. Indoor air is not healthy and just running air cleaners inside the closed up house does not do the trick. So I got one of these and taped it to a box fan that fits perfectly in the window. It works GREAT. I only wish the price was a bit lower, then I would replace it more often.

seems great but box came without shrink wrapping

Other side is black colored. Incoming air is white side. They smell clean out of box, but when I opened the box, all 6 were inside one box. Any air could seep in through the box linings, but box was in good shape when it arrived. There was no shrink wrapping around any filter. Supposed to be like this? No plastic wrap, like other high quality filters I buy at Walmart. I bought these to adhere to a custom fan for DIY filter. The outer cardboard isn't rigid and will scrunch or bend with a little hand pressure, seems less rigid than other 3M filtretes, but the price for these with Carbon black side is nice.

Perfect filter

Fits perfect in the box, filters the bad stuff out, and doesn't cause significant drag on the intake for recirculation so it does exactly what it intended.

Fits in my filter section well. I have a cat and dog in the house so it seems to help keep the air more refreshed. I will definitely reorder this filter!

Cheap knockoffs

Bought these to replace a 3M Filtrete filter, so it was easy to compare to that. These are of obviously far lower quality and not the correct size. The Filtrete fit snugly and these were very loose with quarter inch gaps both ways. There is no indication on the filter that they are even really Nordic Pure.

Description not accurate

The measurements are not accurate it's too small for my furnace I ordered the size that fits my furnace this is in no way anywhere near the measurements that are listed on the advertisement

we like the extra filter and carbon due to asthma. We notice the heater is kicking out more heat too.

Love them. They help clean the air and they last the recommended time. Very happy I found them.

Not what is advertised

Not what I ordered! I ordered Merv 14 plus carbon filters. I received just Merv 14. For those of us with allergies there is a big difference, and a $30 difference in price! Don't buy if you need the carbon for odor control to eliminate perfume as you won't get what you paid for!

Poor product.

small then needed, not really 20x25x4, it is missing 1/2 inch from height and almost 1 inch thickness. Has no carbon, just a dark grey sponge imitation
