My choice for air filters

I’m really picky about my air filters. These are a good price, great quality, and keeps my air nice and clean. I need good quality filters that don’t limit airflow while removing a ton of dust and debris because I have several friends and family members that are allergic to airborne allergens, plus I hate to have dust all over the place.

Likes - Arrived quickly, very good price for Merv 12 ac filters. Seems to be made well, just put one in so we'll see how it does.

Filters are not full size

I purchased two filters around 6 months ago and decided to replace them today. They do not fit the standard 20 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. AC opening because they are smaller than advertised. They are a half inch short and a half inch thinner than advertised. Worthless and now they cannot be returned. I would be careful and measure your filter holder before buying these filters.

My HVAC man helped me pick the correct filters for my system. I was impressed with this brand before and he confirmed my choice. Even said it was the perfect MERV. I repurchased 6 more and will be a returning customer in 6 months. Good value and brand.

not true size specified

I bought pack of 2 of this furnace filter for the size my furnace requires 20x25x4. This particular brand although is advertised as the size my furnace requires is not true to size. This brand is smaller in length, width and depth. I do not recommend this brand if you typically use the Honeywell brand.

A Cheaply Made Filter

The fliter is only 3.5 inces thick whereas other 20x25x4 filters are 4.38 inches thick. The manufacturer can save manufacturing costs by using less filter media in the production. Just know you are buying one of the less effective air filters on the market. It also weighs less than normal 4.38 inch thick filters.

Product wrong

Like others on here have said it’s not the same size and doesn’t fit properly into the filter base. It’s off almost an inch I don’t see how you can claim to be the same size and it not be even close. If you want a filter that will not work properly and dirty your coil in the air handler well this is your guy. But if you want a proper one that fits correctly do not purchase this. Heading to the store right now to return this.

My only complaint is that Home Depot doesn’t carry the Nordic Pure Filter in a 20x16x4 size, because the Honeywell models are larger than the 4” depth and are therefore about an inch too fat for my HVAC unit. All of the Nordic Pure filters are smaller than their nominal sizes, as expected. Now, instead of buying all 39 filters of 7 sizes for my 3 RTUs, at one place (Home Depot), I have to find a different supplier for all of them, or drive myself crazy looking at each spec.

Dimensions are not accurate. Those advertised are “nominal”, not actual. Both length and height are actually 1/2” less than advertised, and width is 3/8” narrower. Installed in my furnace, they flopped around and did not prevent air flow around them. Ended up taking these back.

Take a serious look and read credible websites

I read reviews of NordicPure and found those to be satisfactory on multiple and creditable websites. Filtration and virus protection are very important. I have used regularly the 3M : 1900, 2500, and 2800. Their manufacturing quality has deteriorated substantially for the 2500 and 2800 models which forced me to the 1900's. The pricing for 3M has gone unacceptable too. It is very hard to find the 2500 and 2800 models without poor manufactured quality. I am currently satisfied with NordicPure. They appear well manufactured and these have the same MERV rating as the 3M: 1900's.

Ok but I would pay for the name brand next time

The first thing I noticed when I got the filters out of the box was that the pleats were unevenly spaced. Poor quality control in the manufacturing process Sections were so crowded together that you couldn’t possibly get efficient airflow and use of all the filter material. I will use these for a shorter time period and go back to name brand next time. You get what you pay for in this case.

They stay where they’re supposed to!

So glad I gave these a try! Keep me sucked in, they never need pulling up or adjusting, even when jumping rope or doing burpees, nice & opaque (some of my workout leggings have a real sheen to them). The waist doesn’t pinch either. They’re perfect. I’ve bought 3 pairs, then they sold out. I’m tempted to get a fourth pair in case these disappear. They’re a slightly thicker material - not as thin as some capris I have from a popular yoga gear brand, so I don’t wear them on hot days, but they’re definitely fine for just everyday workouts. Note that I have several capris from said yoga brand, and I prefer these. They fit pretty true to size, I wear size 8 in “that” yoga brand & the mediums are perfect.
