Easy installation and function. lights are outstanding. Very low fan noise.

Alternate mounting option possible!

I’m sharing this as I’m probably not the only homeowner looking for a non-ducted vent fan that does _not_ need to be mounted into a cabinet. We had no possibility for ducted exhaust and no real option to build cabinets above the stove that was set into an old fireplace.

Worked great and I put it in the ceiling with a wall switch to control it on high setting.

Vent above peninsula

Worked perfect above my slide in stove on a peninsula. I had taken down the cabinets above the stove and needed a vent. I had used a bathroom vent/light for a few years but it was only 80cfm. I found this and it worked perfect. I did not cut it into the ceiling but rather mounted it against the ceiling and built a box around the 2 1/2” width of the unit. The only issue was the fan on the unit is 7” so I had to use a reducer from 7”-6”. My ceiling height is only 72” so an island vent would not work.
