The hood is ok but the directions and installation are terrible. The instructions don't show the same model I purchased. I can say it looks very nice and functions well. Just beware and make sure the one you purchase is the one in the instructioins

Under the description, it says 48 inches. THIS IS NOT 48 INCHES. if you need that size, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. We were able to make it work, so not a huge deal. But I was not happy, as it caused some stress

Pretty strong, stylish & durable Range Hood

KE-CRN made our kitchen look more spacious and bright. The installation went very smoothly. 400cfm is more than sufficient for any home cooking, and the motor is relatively quiet. The dishwashable baffle filters and the tiltable lights on the front with 2 settings are beneficial. This well-built and reliable unit will make your friends envy your kitchen. I wish this unit had a "Zline" logo in front of the unit. Please send me your logo sticker to showcase your fantastic product to our friends.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

The installation manual belongs to another model and poorly describes how to install the hood correctly . The 6" plastic pipe is useless, so you need to buy a 6" solid or flexible metal one. The top bracket for affixing the chimney to the wall doesn't work if you want to install the crown modeling and the plate for the crown modeling doesn't hold with chimney alone, so you have make some cuts on the crown modeling plate to be able to use both of them if you plan to use the crown modeling. This is a simple problem that the manufacturer could have provide a right solution for it.

Great range hood!

We recently remodeled out kitchen and were looking for a sleek and simple design that complimented our shaker cabinets. This range hood was priced really well and a lot less money than other hoods we looked at. We had an electrician install it as the installation process was beyond our ability. This range hood works well and looks amazing! We could not be more pleased with it. If we ever need another hood, we’ll be purchasing from this site.

Lovely and so well made!

After hunting high and low for a beautiful range hood for my new kitchen I came across this one and was really pleased to see the price. It was just what I was looking for AND it included the fan system. I received it quickly after ordering and couldnt wait to open the box and take a look. I was thrilled to see it is just as lovely as it looks online. I dont have it up yet as my kitchen hasnt been started yet. I will take a picture and post here as soon as the kitchen is complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this. Its awesome.

Very good overall

After using our new range hood for a few weeks, we can say that so far we are quite pleased. The styling of the KE-36-400, even though modern, does blend well with our slightly more traditional kitchen. The fan is quiet, especially on the lower settings, and we find that we rarely need the highest setting anyway. The lower settings eliminate odors just fine if we run it during the actual cooking, even fish odors! The lights are awesome, and we love that you can adjust the angle, although a wonderful improvement would be to have the adjust brightness as well (for a night light setting). Overall, a terrific product!

Great Product! A little difficult to install.

I bought this range hood to go above my range in place of a prior microwave. This ZLINE hood looks GREAT. I really like the style and especially the recirculating feature which allowed me to install the hood without the need to externally vent. The hood itself was great quality. My only negative feedback is regarding the installation process which wasn't exactly clear. The hood came with a very nice instruction booklet - but the booklet didn't address my specific type of range hood and left several steps vague. If I hadn't been handy, it would have been very difficult for me to install this product. But in the end, I managed the install in about 4-5 hours time and the end result looks great!

Works great! Fine suction, quiet, looks good.

Bought this to replace a fancy Italian - made outfit that the motor went out. Can't get new parts because the company's out of business. This fan is every bit as good -- probably stronger and quieter and just as sturdy. Easy installation. Lifetime guarantee a real selling point. Don't like the location of the lights or controls, but the fantastic price makes up for that.

Function and Beauty

I bought this (KF2-36) range hood several months before my house was completed enough to install, but I didn't want to chance it selling out. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition There is a plastic lining adhered to the stainless steel finish to protect it from scratches and it is packed in styrofoam to prevent dents. All the hardware needed to install is included, and everything goes together well. I chose this model because of the four CFM settings. It has enough power to vent anything I can cook up. The lights are bright and pool over the stove top. I do wish there were two light settings instead of one, but this is minor. The range hood operates well and is surprisingly quiet. The best part is that it looks beautiful while it functions flawlessly.

Looks good, but a few concerns.

I've had this installed for about 2 months now, and the one upshot is that the design fit exactly what I was looking for at a price that didn't break the bank.
