[Rewarded Review] Looks great, with some blemishes

This is a really lovely door, and while we haven't had the chance to install it yet, I'm excited to see how much brightness it's going to bring to our space. It's certainly solidly constructed with the glass very well seated (no wiggle or rattle at all!). The white paint on the surface is a bit delicate - it arrived scuffed in places - and our door also arrived with a somewhat concerning *looking* crack that doesn't seem to affect the strength of the door, though it remains to be seen how things will hold up once we install the hinged and door knob. Will post update if things change.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for what I wanted

I got this to use as a barn door style door for a bathroom remodel. The project was put on hold because of an injury, and is still ongoing so I haven’t gotten to use this door yet. It has been sized up and will work wonderfully. I was going to build one but when I found this one I had to use it. It’s exactly what I wanted. It seems to be built very well, is heavier than I expected and actually has REAL GLASS. The finish is nice, but will need to be sealed for use in the damp environment of the bathroom.

[Rewarded Review] Handsome Two Lite Door

I own a very old two story house. The bedrooms are upstairs. I like to sleep in a cold room. So, I do not heat the 2nd floor. My problem, the heat from the 1st floor goes upstairs. I hung a drape across the bottom of the stairs to stop the air flow. Works fine, but the stairwell has turned into a dark alley … I got this to replace the drape and let in some light. It is a great door. Not too heavy. The glass is Tempered (for safety). It is primed white, and the primer is applied in a relatively thick and even coat. My problem, when I ordered, I was thinking I could cut down the length. Eightdoors limits trimming to ¼” each side (which I do not need), but only 1” at the top & bottom. I need to take off 3 ½ total … Only negative on the door, there is a plastic film on both sides of the glass. The plastic goes under the frame. So, not easy to remove. It can be cut with a razor, along the wood, but then you get that small bit of fraying remaining. The good thing about the film, makes painting easier, because you do not have to use masking tape on the glass.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent quality that is affordable and sustainable

What a relief to have found a solid core door that offers full light for a very affordable price. We are in the process of remodeling our entire 1970s home, and plan to have full or three-quarter light doors separating areas throughout the downstairs. The cost of most doors is sky high. A lot of the ones that are designed for interior use seem to be coming from overseas, which just adds to the cost. This option from eightdoors is very nearly the same quality as the ones from Europe without the eye-watering price. The solid core construction, which is knotty pine, allows us to cut our own hinge recesses exactly where needed. When we cut the hole for the handle, we know that the solid core construction is going to create solid support for the hardware. The solid core construction is also a great way to improve the sound dampening qualities between each room. We are widening the door from the kitchen to the laundry space, so that's important. The pine is covered with a layer of laminated wood, so the final coating, which is white primer, is smooth. The cutting allowance of 1/4" on each side allows us to adjust the door height; we do need to create a transition between the rooms due to the wider door width, so we might need to trim the bottom once the new threshold is in. The door comes with a 1-year warranty for residential use, and the finish is covered with a 1-year warranty, as well. The glass is tempered safety glass, so dogs and kids are no problem. We will need to do some filling and smoothing where the rails and stiles meet to cover joints that are a bit rough (see pic). The mitered corners fit together very well, with only the need for a tiny bit of filler on the interior areas where the glass sits inside the frame. A huge bonus to this door is that it is made with wood planted according to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) regulations for renewable/sustainable practices. This eightdoors option really ticks all the boxes!

Top notch doors

I had a couple of these installed and loved the doors so I ordered matching bifold doors from the same company in the same style but with frosted glass panels for our closet. Very impressed by the craftsmanship in these doors.
