Design issues

This was billed as a direct replacement for a previous model. It is not. We had to cut our cabinet and expand the vent. In some ways it is better, with buttons to operate both light and three fan speeds separately. But unlike the earlier model, the light is at the back, illuminating only the back burners, which we hardly use. We do appreciate the removable filters, though.

Buy a different range hood!

This hood is horrible! The installation directions and diagrams are useless. The construction is very flimsy.

Great Fan - fits specific use perfectly!

Very low profile. Great, bright lighting, fan works great. I love the three fan levels and the quick-off button. Easy to install behind existing cabinets (double-check the measurements of the unit as its very tight in the cabinet) above your stove, with exhaust out (an HVAC professional might have to set that up if you don't already have them set up). Cannot comment on ease of cleaning and durability since we just installed it. We had the previous Broan version of this fan, now discontinued, which lasted us 10 years.
