My elderly father loves his new Moen grab bar!

I bought this Moen grab bar for my elderly father’s bathroom. The instructions were very straight forward and made for an easy install. My father loves the sold feel of the bar and I love knowing that my father will be safer in his home.

Good and Hefty

A good, hefty handle. Size is right for large people. Changed the Phillips type screws with SS Robinson screws that won’t strip and will last longer in a shower. Easy to install if you have good backing behind your wall.

Moen Grab Bar Bliss

The product is well constructed and certified (ADA) for its inteded use. I was able to install the grab bar with no issues using the provided hardware. For additional strength where a stud could not be found, I used MOEN Securemount Anchors Single. These were easy to use and provided the strength required for safety.

Installed bar horizontally on the garage side of the door going into the house. It is slightly above and to the left of the door knob. It helps Grandma and the rest of us have good support going up the steps and into the door, as well as out again. The bar makes it much easier to grab and shut the door, especially when down the steps from the garage side. The white bar blends in nicely with the white door on the garage side. To install, we drilled all the way through the door and used washers and rounded acorn nuts to secure the bar on the inside. It is a surprisingly helpful improvement!

I bought the 36 and the 18 inch bars and they are wonderful. I watched a really good you tube video and installed them myself. I'm a 71 year old gal and I'm not going to say it was easy, I have ceramic tile with concrete behind. Drilling through all that was not the easiest thing I have ever done but within about 3 hours I had them both up. I highly recommend these bars and get some good anchors and you can do it too.

Wow! Great product! The "peened" section makes this bar ideal for wet areas. I installed this in our master bathroom shower. The "peened" section allows for a great grip, even when the bar is wet. Grab bar looks great and functions excellent! The 36 inch Grab Bar was installed on the long shower wall and the 24 inch Grab Bar was installed on the short (below shower head) wall. If you are mounting the grab bar to ceramic tile, make sure you get diamond tipped drill bit to drill the holes. I used two (2)Moen SMA1015CH, Home Care Securemount Anchors, Chrome so, I needed a 1/4" diameter diamond tipped drill bit and a 1-1/4" diameter diamond drill bit. Drilling the holes was easy. Follow the instructions to make sure the holes are drilled in the correct place. It took me about one (1) hour to install two grab bars.
