After researching different range hoods and brands that professionals recommend, learning how they work (cfm, indoor air quality, adequate ventilation, makeup air, motors, sones, HVI-certification, etc), and understanding what qualities to look for in a ducted under-cabinet range hood, the Pixie Air ended up at the top of my list. Although I wasn't expecting that I'd be spending almost a grand on a range hood, my family and I are happy with this purchase. We've had it for a few weeks and are enjoying it so far.

Instillation of my new range hood

My overall experience was excellent! The technician, Terry was great. He came on time and did the installation expertly. My cabinet space needed some modification, he did it with efficiency. I was impressed and very happy!

Great range hood!

Easily installed however I highly suggest you have someone help you lift this thing unless you're tall and can lift heavy things above your shoulder. Be very careful when installing, especially if you have a recessed kitchen cabinets as you will need 3 extra planks to fill in the space between the cabinet and the range hood.

I bought pixie rangehood couple of months ago. Very pleased with oil/smoke suction power.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

Beauty at work

This hood is amazing. Very easy to install and it is quiet. The three fan speeds do a good job and it's easily controlled. The touchless operation is wonderful. Wave to on, wave to off. It even has a timer that helps in ensuring you don't run it and forget.

Quiet yet powerful

Installation is little painful. The screw manufacturer provided to lock under the cabinets is not well designed. It has small screw head and make it hard to grab on. We have to loose it as the predrilled hole under cabinet wasn’t big enough. Fortunately they have a extra one. Otherwise, all good. Template is very useful.

This Range hood fits all my needs.

This Range hood fits all my needs.everything i want this Rang hood has it. It is easy ti use There aea led around it and it is way bighter than my prvious one. This air suction is very powerful,and since everything is stainless steel it is very easy to clean. I just have a bit of a problem,when installing it, this can easily be scratched,when i install it on top of my stove,and it scratched.the material seems a bit thin and easily can be scratched.i ttied cleaning it but it is not coming off,it is a permanent scratch.

Replaced a GE Profile over-the-range microwave/hood combo with this unit after the GE repeatedly failed and became choked with grease. It never really had great suction. Decided we needed the combo of a better hood and a small countertop microwave in our small kitchen.

Great product. Low vent noise. Good design and works well.

Product works well as advertised. Good design and low suction noise levels were key points for purchasing this range hood. This unit recommends a 7" vent outlet - so it needed bit of additional work for the contractor that installed it for me to redo the existing vent that was 6".

Lessons Learned

I installed this as a replacement to a previous unit that has a vertical duct. Lessons Learned: 1- The stencil should not be separated (wall and ceiling stencil). Your measurements will be short if you separate the two and then stencil onto the wall and cabinet. 2- If you have a rigid vertical duct you need a coupling or the ability to crimp the existing vertical stack to get it to fit into the boot on the hood. 3- This unit comes with a 3 prong plug, so if you don't already have the electrical for that you will need to install an outlet inside the cabinet above the unit to provide power to it. 4-The light provided by this unit is lower than I would really like. 5- Use 2 cabinet jacks or car jacks to lift the unit into place, it weighs 65 pounds and is awkward to stretch to keep the unit lifted during installation. You will need to place plywood on your stove, then as many large flat objects as you need followed, followed by the jack stand(s), ply wood, and then the unit. Then you lift the unit into place and can get it hooked onto the rear wall brackets, and secured the 3 points at the top of the unit.

Extremely powerful and yet quiet

Overall this is a great hood; that is extremely quiet and really does SUCK! (*smile*). I do feel that it is a bit high priced for what it is and the features you get (no auto-clean, etc), but the quality compared to cheaper models is immediately noticeable.

A Powerful, Quiet and Functional Modern Range Hood

We purchased this Fotile UQG3002 range hood (850 CFM) to replace a 15 years old Broan Elite E662 (800 CFM). There are several things very impressed which worth to mention for this product: (1) easy to install as DIY by using included mounting template; (2) powerful suction and very quiet in compare to Broan Elite E662; (3) a cool motion control on/off switch; (4) convenient cleaning of capture-shield plates comparing with Broan's grease filters. By choosing between Fotile JQG7505 and UQG3002, we are happy with this range hood with its simplicity look and well functioned performance.

very powerful suction, very little noise it made

First impression of this product is that the product is very powerful with its suction ability. I tested it when I was cooking my steak which tends to generate a lot of smoke. This product did powerfully **** all the smoke away.
