Good quality for good price

Replaced an old fluorescent fixture from the late 80’s. That monster had a custom made wooden casing around it that projected 8 inches from the ceiling. This one is a lower profile, and has a sleek, contemporary look. I like the soft yellow color that still provides a ton of brightness. Casing is acrylic but it looks like frosted glass once it’s mounted, so it’s a good purchase for the price.

Only dimmable if you have appropriate 10v wiring

You cannot simply install this LED light and a dimmer switch on wall WITHOUT the require 10v wires running from wall switch to the existing light. Don't be misled by the statement that it is dimmable. There are two extra 10v wires on the light that are labelled as "dimmer wires". If you currently don't have the extra wires running through your walls to the existing light you cannot dim this LED (unless you invest in wireless technology). Wiring drawing that comes with light doesn't address anything regarding "dimming" the light. Light went up fairly easily. Very bright.

Not suitable for small closets or for closets with moderate...

Not suitable for small closets or for closets with moderate outside traffic as the motion detection is very sensitive and light will turn on when someone passes the door. Also, the light will not turn on immediately and in some cases will go on with immediate entry to the closet and at other times will not go on for 5 or more seconds, so it is very inconsistent.

Wish I bought this sooner

This light is better than expected. It is bright even in the light of day. The light is easy to install, had it up within 30 minutes of delivery!

The Design House Owens Oval ceiling light is a lovely...

The Design House Owens Oval ceiling light is a lovely design. The oval mount is much more attractive and modern than the oblong ceiling lights. Unfortunately, I see two problems with this light. First, when the switch is flipped on, the light does not come on immediately...there is a second delay and, Second, the light has a yellow tinge, rather than a white light, therefore, it is not as bright as I had expected.

This fixture gives more light then the other two more expensive brands. Looks exactly the same. Gives the option to dim if you so choose, but you will need an electrician to hookup that option. If not a handyman can do it. I love it. Gives so much light that I do not need under cabinet lighting. Better warranty and pricing.

Replacement light for kitchen

I replaced an old ceiling fan in the kitchen that was constantly needing to be cleaned as I don't think a fan should be above the range. The installation is fast where the only help needed would be to have a second pair of hands to hold to connect the wires and if there is already an opening with a electrical box the light can be mounted using the light box mount screws. If really looking to secure this to the ceiling anchors and screws can be used. The overall look of this light is really nice and clean once installed.
