Not worth the money - don't buy this!

Did a complete renovation of our kitchen and heard that Kraus sinks were very high quality so I bought this one. So disappointed!!! The sink doesn't drain properly so water pools on one side so it gets full of soap scum. There is something weird about the drain so that any food debris, no matter how small, will plug the sink. And despite following all the directions for care, it looks like it's 18 years old instead of 18 months.

Great sink. It’s the fourth I have purchased and installed. The sink is a heavier gage than most residential sinks. Plus sink is several inches deeper. Krauss sinks are ideal for kitchens that a family uses daily. Krauss also make a high quality, competitively priced sink faucet. After installing my first Krauss sink combo 12 years ago, both sink and faucet look new even after very heavy use.

Quality construction

Great sink. Quality construction. Looks fantastic. The large left bowl is LARGE. In a 2 person household, we choose to do dishes by hand - so the sink design and size are critical. The large bowl easily fits my 8.5 Quart dutch oven and my 16" Calphalon roasting pan with plenty of room to maneuver each piece to wash and rinse. My only drawback is that because of the constraint of our plumbing under the counter, we were not able to make use of the provided drains. I had them placed and they were SO NICE ... a very deep drain with an extra large and easy to remove basket, nicely covered by a flush fitting gasket plug cover. Alas ... they were too deep to use with the rather odd plumbing configuration in our home.

This is a very nice sink and overall we were pleased with it. Some folks complained of it not draining completely and yes even if it is perfectly level there will be some water that doesn't drain. The angle of the bottom toward the drain could be increased slightly and it would be better. My biggest complaint was with the drains. You get the basket drain and a regular drain. Problem is that they don't extend the same distance under the sink. You then have to try to connect plumbing to two drains pipes at different heights. Yes there are some drain kits that will accommodate this (mostly those meant for garbage disposals) but it is a needless complication. Make both types of strainers the same length or ship the sink with two of the fantastic basket type strainers. Fortunately another big box home improvement store sells the basket strainer for this sink separately.

Best sink I have owned so far

I am very satisfied with my new 32" under mount sink. I was replacing an existing sink which was laid on top of the counter top and had a divider. This sink is 10" deep and has a ton of space for dishes, pans, large cookie sheets... you name it, it will fit in this sink. The sink is very well made and has a strong shell. I was also quite impressed with the dish grate that sits on the bottom of the sink. This helps keep dishes from sitting on the bottom of the sink so it will last much longer. The commercial grade finish makes this sink not only look great but easy to clean. I have already recommended this sink to my family and friends as they all are impressed with the size and quality overall.

Absolutely Love this INCREDIBLE Sink

We just installed Quartz Countertops in our kitchen, and replaced a 2 bowl, standard, shallow stainless steel sink with our new KRAUS Single Bowl 32” Undermount Stainless Steel Sink. We couldn’t be more pleased. It’s beautiful. It’s spacious. It drains well. We love the stainless steel grid. The 16 gauge stainless and soundproofing is excellent-so much more quiet that our previous sink. The look and quality of the drain and strainer, which also received many other approving comments in the reviews, is so nice we decided to use that instead of our garbage disposal, and that has worked out very well so far. Garbage disposal aren’t good for your pipes anyway, and frankly the strainer works perfectly fine. My only caution is to make sure you do not use any abrasive sponges on the sink. We have both abrasive and non-abrasive, and I mistakenly started using the wrong one. Thankfully just a few minor scratches in and area difficult to see, and I caught myself. Follow the instructions that come with the sink-use a soft cloth or sponge-and all will be fine. Thank you Kraus for an amazing and beautiful sink.

We feel this sink was the perfect choice for our newly remodeled kitchen! It complements our sparkling white quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and overall fresh contemporary look. This sink is quite stylish and simply very pretty to look at, with a high-end appearance for a reasonable cost. As for function, the quality is evident from the minute you open the box, as other reviewers have said. It's relatively quiet even when using the spray function on the faucet; the extra depth is great for washing baking sheets and large pots; and the softly rounded inner corners are easy to clean (versus squared corners on some contemporary sinks).
