Quiet and Looks Fabulous

Great fan, I have this fan in 4 rooms. It’s the only fan I’ll buy. The first one I bought stopped working after 16 years. So glad this style is still being made.

Great Fan

I love the sleek look of the fan. It’s nice because it doesn’t hang down in the middle of our family room like our old one did. The rotation of the fan is smooth and it helps to cool down a large area, especially during this record breaking heat wave.

I shopped quite a bit online before settling on this fan. It’s a great modern touch to our bedroom. It also produces quite a bit of airflow. Love the low, medium and high settings in the ability to change the other remote.

I installed this fan in the master headroom of our beach house which has 8 foot ceilings, hence the need for a low profile fan. It was easy to install and you could tell it is well made as you put it together. It has a very clean modern look, it is very quiet and moves plenty of air. The light was brighter than I anticipated. It easily lights a 12x14 room. Overall I am pleased.

I ordered this size Minka fan for my master bedroom & it looks great. Clean lines & makes the room look modern! My electrician said Minka is his favorite brand & he recommends them to customers when they ask his opinion! I had Minka fans in another home for 20 years & they were still going strong when I sold the home! Very pleased with this item!

Minka White Ceiling Hugger

White ceiling hugger fan for low ceiling in our bedroom with light walls. This fan is quiet and efficient. It is my first fan. I would have preferred to find off-while, matte finish rather than glossy white but the quality of this Minka Aire fan became more important to me than the looks of it. The reviews I read were positive about the anesthetics so plenty of people like it's looks. I purchased it with help of several members of Lamps Plus staff who recommended it to satisfy my top concern for quality, and for a quiet, non-noisy fan, without seeing it first. They are right. it's a great fan. When I set it on high speed, the blades turn so fast that I can hardly see them. It's very quiet on low and medium speed with just a little noise on high speed but not objectionable. It maybe be the sound of the air swooshishing, and a little bit of minimal wobble because, as I understand it, our 43-year-old bedroom ceiling is not perfectly flat which affects the noise a fan makes to some extent. I had a certified, skilled electricisn install it and I have no doubt about the quality of the installation. I will soon get another fan from Lamps Plus for the area of our house that has vaulted ceiling since this has been a good experience. The color of the LED light is distasteful to me and it is not possible to change it.

No regrets - Multiple Fan(s) Remotes a Challenge

More than one fan? With patience and reading instructions carefully. It’s doable to install the fans close to one another and make remotes work independently. Measure carefully. We should have got the next size up for one of the fans. They move a lot of air relatively quietly. Minimalist style.

Gorgeous! The fan is well constructed and simple stunning. This low profile, ceiling hugger, help ensures maximum air flow without being blown out of the room. Although not part are the main advertisement, the fan blades appears to be made of a plastic/acrylic material which is perfect to avoid humidity damage. Not saying to use these in outdoor locations, just saying that if you leave in a humid climate, this will be perfect for the bedroom, family room, or living room.

Dissatisfied with Product and Customer Service

We are very dissatisfied with our purchase from Lamps Plus. We ordered 2 fans ($339/each) during our home remodeling project. One arrived and was found to have a faulty receiver, and the fan would not turn on. Lamps Plus is sending us a new receiver; however, they are not going to pay any of the additional electrician expenses accrued as a result of the faulty receiver. The electrician spent additional time calling to diagnose the problem and will need to now come back to install the replaced receiver. We went this route, thinking we were getting a high quality product and customer service. We will NOT use Lamps Plus again.

Was looking for something better than what the big boxes sell. I’ve looked at 1000’s of outdoor ceiling fans via the web and I kept coming back to this fan. Had a long list of requirements for just the right fan and this one had them all. Plus one thing I didn’t even think about. Quite. This fan is truly awesome! Moves lots of air, looks stylish and it’s quite as a whisper. Stainless steel housing is solid. Cost a little more than I initially wanted to spend because we had to have two. But you get what you pay for. So worth every penny!

We LOVE this fan!! Easy install--it has a hanger on the base plate so you don't have to hold it while wiring!! Genius. We bought the wall control separately on Amazon to control from the wall (we had to slice the cover to fit on the wall, but it is ok). The remote works great as well, although it is VERY big, maybe so it doesn't get lost? Anyway, the fan is quiet, no shaking, no buzzing. We bought the halogen for the light output which is about 100watt. Looks great with the cheap Westinghouse medallion we bought as you can see in the picture. We went with white and it disappears into the ceiling and really makes the space and ceiling seem higher and not so heavy. Get product!

[Rewarded Review] All-Around Superb Celing Fan

Until encountering this fan, I was pretty well disheartened by the poor options in fans that I used to turn to in the 'ole days. It seems their quality had gone down the drain. After reading customers' feedback on the MinkaAire Ceiling Fan. I took a chance and bought one (this is my second one; first, was the shorter-bladed one). As much as I always appreciate my first one's overall "Everything" Superb quality, I wish that my first purchase had also been this size of fan, due to the led lighting. My first fan has the halogen light, which doesn't seem to give out quite enough light. I usually cringe when I hear about LED lighting because of the typical "grey" light. However, this LED is the high-end design that provides bright natural-white light. It is incredible! This fan is an all-around beauty. Nothing to change here. It's too bad the smaller version did't have this LED lighting, too. These are GREAT ceiling fans!!

Had electrician remove old fan and intall this Minka fan. Start to finish it was about 30 minutes to change out and set up remote. Fan looks great. First fan I had w/just 3 blades, air moves good but you can hear wind sound at higher speeds. Might be due to 3 blades instead of 4-5?l All in all, pretty decent fan and really dresses up the ceiling but I did install ceiling medallion and that adds to nice decor. Thinking about buying one for another bdrm but somewhat limited choice if you want light dimming by the remote.

This fan is the bomb!

After looking at several lamp stores and home project centers, I decided to go online and found this fan/light. I read all the comments about it from satisfied buyers, and it looked perfect for our new kitchen/family room. I was not disappointed! It was quickly and easily installed by our contractor. I love everything about this fan. It is quiet, the remote control is a great feature, and the light with dimmer is perfect for when we need additional overhead lighting. This is my second purchase from Lamps Plus and I would definitely use this online retailer again.
