Bad faucet design

I've had my tub for over a year now and have had nothing but trouble with the faucet supplied with the tub. The lever that works the hand held shower is impossible to move, I've had it replaced by AS and installed by lic. Plumber and it still does not work. It's hard to fill up a tub when you just have water coming from the hand held shower. Very bad faucet design.

Very good quality item. Works great and provides a wonderful bathing experience. Plumbing and electrical installation needs were not written up well, and needed an experienced plumber and electrician to resolve. Shower activation lever is difficult to use, but all other functions work very well.

EASY ACCESS AND GREAT FEATURES

Our American Standard walk-in bath (Model #3060.109.CLW) replaced an outdated Whirlpool tub that came with our house 15 years ago and that was probably used no more that 10 times since then.These systems have progress significantly since then, and we are sure it was a great decision. It is definitely easier to use and to care as we grow older.

Meet out needs in general

We bought this for my disabled son to be able to load him directly to the seat for bathing. Got this from home depot and installed by an installer specialized in American Standard products. We are in general satisfied with this one. Small issues did happen, like missing a small component in the shower set found during installation and a replacement set was aquired and installed instead. Thanks to the prompt response from the installer to finish the installation in one day. The shower hose got stuck and cannot be pulled out at the first use. This was solved by openning a pannel and use a stick to untangled the hose with the bottom frame. Need to use extra care when pulling out and returning the shower head to avoid this in the future. Anyway, my son is happy to be able to soak in the warm water, instead of show only as before. The air flushing feature is good to dry the air and water ducts, automatically turned on 20 min after turning the air or whirlpoll water jet off. The first use got a supprised flushing while my son was still sitting there. Learned that we have to move fast to avoid the cold air blowing on my son's body. A manual button for air flushing would be better than the automatic feature.

We have been struggling for over a month to get the bath tub functional. It didn't come with all of the parts and our contractor has made numerous trips back and forth to Home Depot and other retailers trying to come up with the various items we need to be able to take a bath.
