While the hardware was very good, the doors were damaged. This item had to be ordered, so getting a new one wasn't as quick as running to the store.

The doors were actually standard bifold doors with included Barn door hardware. Which there's nothing wrong with, you just get the hardware for a standard Bifold door as well

Great looking product but predrilled holes in the door are in the wrong place to operate correctly. The folks we contacted argued with us that there were not pre drilled holes in the doors. Little do they know they are completely wrong!

Great Choice for a Modern Look

Hpppy with this door set! It looks even better in person. The installation wasn't too bad, though I recommend having a second person help just to make things smoother. The doors feel sturdy, and they slide nicely without any issues.

doors are very thin banged up and cheap. I payed a carpenter to install them that is the only reason I didn't return them.

These are very strong, and I paid a lot for them, but they do what they are built to do. I love them. It’s for my bifold doors and I bought two sides which was pretty pricey, but I love them.

Love double bifold door

Love double bifold door design which is perfect for my master restroom. The finished color is beautiful just as it is on the picture!

It is what I need

Fair price, good quality, easy installation. Well, it is just what I need.

placed the order for this door 24 days after ordering the same dooor and received something else. The length of the door was an inch shorter than the previous door I ordered with the same description and the panels were narrower. Wood is not the same wuality either. My carpenter had to jump through hoops to get them to look good next to the other higher quality doors I ordered thinking these ones were the same since the descripton and manufacturer were the same. Not very happy

Doors are too short

Do not try to use this kit in a standard height opening. The doors supplied are 1” shorter because they are meant to work with standard bifold tracks. The bottom of the door can’t reach the pivot.

Nightmare to install

The door looks good but the installation instructions are the incomplete , not clear, hard to follow tried to use. Pulleys were not the same size ...also the hinges were not correctly placed on the door in the packaging so we have to take it off and redo it again . The bottom holes on the door were not aligned and neither were the same size. We need to redrill the holes Lot of time , effort , money and energy gone in figuring things out

We bought the Calhome Panel Shaker for our closet that is exactly 60in wide and 80in high. The Barn Door Hardware with the doors exposed a portion of one of the doors requiring us install a 2in x 2in on each side to cover an exposed gap. The Barn Door Hardware mounting the doors do not sufficiently stabilize the doors. It does though work for an 80 in door height arch.

The hardware that comes with this CalHome barn door kit is nice, looks good and works well after installing. The bi-fold doors are another story altogether, wood not recommend. This kit seems to use 2 different suppliers for the doors, Masonite doors were OK, the Reliabilt doors that may come in this kit are no good and had multiple workmanship issues.

Incomplete instructions

The doors are beautiful but the instructions are incomplete. We followed them to a tee but when hung up, the doors would not open because there is no mention of clearance needed at the bottom to account for a baseboard/shoe. Had to end up cutting into both so they would open. Although pretty, the doors are a very rough finish which is hard to wipe down and keep clean looking. Did come with several chips. I was luckily able to match touch up paint to but should be better quality for this price

Don’t order this product

Order product once and it came delivered damaged so I ordered it again and it came with some damage again but my contractor was able to fix it so I couldn’t tell to bad plus it was costly money every day that was going by so am I happy what do you think

Instructions

The door itself is fine, and what we wanted, but the installation instructions are the worst I have ever seen or tried to use. It shouldn't be that hard to include easy to follow instructions that are step by step and not pictures that have no written instructions.

The doors and hardware where just what I was looking for. The instructions were not good but expected that from previous reviews. The hardware and doors were not made for each other, so adjustments had to be made but they did turn out beautiful.

Find Another Bifold Barn Door.

For the amount of money this kit costs, it's definitely not worth it. The doors arrived damaged and some the ends of the MDF are already peeling back. The kit is not intented to be solely a barn door bifold kit. It's a closet door set with barn door parts that don't fit door openings as advertised. I currently have a 2" gap at the bottom of my 60 x 80 opening that the enclosed fasteners aren't long enough to attach to. The required holes that need to be drilled for the fasteners overlap predrilled holes for the closet kit. The kit also came with hinges and screws that can't be used because the doors already have cheap hinges attached that cannot be removed because of the MDF and holes showing that do not align. Avoid this kit at all costs.
